1:58 Mankind's enjoyment of the jinn was their saying during the Era of Ignorance:

2:02 "We seek refuge in the chief of this valley."

2:05 And the jinn's enjoyment of mankind

2:08 was the veneration and refuge they received from them.

2:13 "And we have reached our appointed term which You decreed for our death."

2:17 Allah will say:

2:18 "The Fire of Hell is your home, wherein you shall abide eternally,"

2:23 remaining in it forever,

2:24 "except as Allah wills" regarding the period between their resurrection from their graves and their final destination in Hell.

2:33 Indeed, your Lord is All-Wise in His management of His creation,

2:37 All-Knowing of the consequences of His management

2:39 and of the good or evil outcome to which their affairs will lead.

2:45 “Thus We let some of the wrong-doers have power over others because of what they are wont to earn.” (6:129)

2:54 And just as We made some of the polytheists from among mankind and jinn allies of one another,

2:59 so too do We appoint some of them as allies over others in all matters,

3:04 because of the sins against Allah that they used to earn and commit.

3:09 "O assembly of jinn and mankind,

3:14 “O ye assembly of the jinn and humankind! Came there not unto you messengers of your own who recounted unto you My tokens and warned you of the meeting of this your Day? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the life of the world beguiled them. And they testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.” (6:130)

3:27 and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?"

3:34 “O ye assembly of the jinn and humankind! Came there not unto you messengers of your own who recounted unto you My tokens and warned you of the meeting of this your Day? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the life of the world beguiled them. And they testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.” (6:130)

3:38 and worldly life deluded them,

3:42 and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

3:50 O assembly of jinn and mankind,

3:52 “O ye assembly of the jinn and humankind! Came there not unto you messengers of your own who recounted unto you My tokens and warned you of the meeting of this your Day? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the life of the world beguiled them. And they testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.” (6:130)

3:57 informing you of what was revealed to them regarding My proofs and evidence for My Oneness,

4:04 and warning you of encountering My punishment on this Day of yours.

4:09 They will say, "Your messengers have indeed come to us with Your signs."

4:14 The adornment of the worldly life deluded these polytheists,

4:18 and they bore witness against themselves that in the world they were disbelievers in Him and His messengers.

4:26 “This is because thy Lord destroyeth not the townships arbitrarily while their people are unconscious (of the wrong they do).” (6:131)

4:36 Our sending of messengers was because your Lord would never destroy them for their polytheism

4:41 without first sending messengers to them and establishing clear proof between Him and them.

4:48 For each there are degrees according to what they have done,

4:55 and your Lord is never unaware of what they do.

5:02 For every worker, whether in obedience to Allah or in disobedience to Him,

5:06 there are stations and ranks for their deeds, which Allah will cause them to reach and reward them for—

5:13 if good, then good, and if evil, then evil.

5:18 All of that, O Muhammad, is with full knowledge from your Lord,

5:21 Who reckons them to recompense them upon their return to Him.

5:27 “Thy Lord is the Absolute, the Lord of Mercy. If He will, He can remove you and can cause what He will to follow after you, even as He raised you from the seed of other folk.” (6:133)

5:46 Just as He brought you forth from the offspring of another people.

5:56 And your Lord, O Muhammad, is Self-Sufficient, needing neither His servants nor their deeds and worship,

6:03 while they are in absolute need of Him, for in His Hand is their life and their death;

6:09 He is the Possessor of Kindness and Mercy, bestowing His mercy upon them

6:14 and rewarding them for their good deeds if they do good.

6:18 If He wills, O Muhammad, your Lord can destroy His creation

6:22 and bring forth after your destruction another creation to succeed you on the earth,

6:27 just as He originated and created you after the creation of others who were before you.

6:46 Indeed, that punishment of your Lord which you are promised for your persistence in disbelief

6:52 will surely befall you,

6:54 and you can never escape your Lord by fleeing from Him on the earth,

6:57 for you are within His grasp, and He is fully Capable of punishing you.

7:02 So beware of Him and turn in repentance to His obedience before the affliction descends upon you.

7:22 Indeed, the wrongdoers will never succeed.

7:29 Say, O Muhammad:

7:32 "Act according to your position and way,"

7:35 which is a divine warning and threat to them,

7:39 not an absolute permission for them to do whatever they wish.

7:42 "for I am working in the manner my Lord has commanded me.

7:48 Soon you will know, O disbelievers in Allah, when Allah's retribution descends upon you,

7:54 who will have an outcome after this worldly life that is better for him,

7:58 or worse for him,

8:00 and which of us was upon the truth in his deeds—

8:03 I or you."

8:05 Indeed, no person will attain his goal with Allah

8:09 if he acts contrary to what Allah has commanded him.

8:13 “They assign unto Allah, of the crops and cattle which He created, a portion, and they say: "This is Allah's" - in their make-believe - "and this is for (His) partners in regard to us." Thus that which (they assign) unto His partners in them reacheth not Allah and that which (they assign) unto Allah goeth to their (so-called) partners. Evil is their ordinance.” (6:136)

8:20 “They assign unto Allah, of the crops and cattle which He created, a portion, and they say: "This is Allah's" - in their make-believe - "and this is for (His) partners in regard to us." 8:25 "And this is for our associate-gods."

8:44 Evil is what they judge!

8:49 These polytheists assigned to Allah

8:53 a share and portion of the crops and livestock He created,

8:57 saying, "This is for Allah,"

8:59 and assigning a similar share to their associate-gods.

9:02 Yet the portion of their associate-gods would never reach Allah's portion,

9:07 while what was assigned to Allah would reach the portion of their associate-gods.

9:11 How evil was their judgment!

9:14 For they would take from My share for their associate-gods,

9:17 but would not give Me anything from the share of their associate-gods.

9:21 By this account, He merely intended to describe their ignorance and straying,

9:25 and their departure from the path of truth,

9:28 in that they were not content to equate Him with those who created and nourished them,

9:32 and bestowed upon them innumerable favors—

9:36 entities that can neither harm nor benefit them—

9:39 until they even favored them in their allocations,

9:41 according to their own subjective divisions.

9:45 “Thus have their (so-called) partners (of Allah) made the killing of their children to seem fair unto many of the idolaters, that they may ruin them and make their faith obscure for them. Had Allah willed (it otherwise), they had not done so. So leave them alone with their devices.” (6:137)

9:50 Their associate-gods made the killing of their children fair-seeming to them,

9:54 to bring about their ruin

9:57 and to obscure their religion for them.

10:01 “Thus have their (so-called) partners (of Allah) made the killing of their children to seem fair unto many of the idolaters, that they may ruin them and make their faith obscure for them. Had Allah willed (it otherwise), they had not done so. So leave them alone with their devices.” (6:137)

10:06 So leave them and what they fabricate.

10:16 Their associate-gods were the devils,

10:19 who made the burying alive of daughters seem appealing to them to destroy them,

10:23 and to confuse their religion for them so that it becomes obscure,

10:26 causing them to stray and perish.

10:28 Had Allah willed that they should not commit such killings,

10:33 they would not have done so,

10:35 in that He would have guided them to the truth

10:37 and granted them success toward correctness.

10:40 So leave them, O Muhammad, and the lies and falsehoods they forge against Me,

10:45 for I am ever watchful over them.

10:49 And they said, "These livestock and crops are forbidden; none may eat of them

10:57 except whom we wish," according to their claims,

11:02 "and these are livestock whose backs are forbidden to ride."

11:06 “And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is) a lie against Him. He will repay them for that which they invent.” (6:138)

11:11 “And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is) a lie against Him. 11:15 a fabrication against Him.

11:26 And they said, "These livestock and crops

11:29 are forbidden; none may eat of them except whom we wish."

11:34 This is because they used to prohibit and permit matters on their own authority.

11:39 They also said,

11:41 "And these are livestock whose backs are forbidden,"

11:44 so they would not ride upon their backs,

11:46 though they benefited from all other aspects of them apart from riding.

11:52 These were yet another category of livestock.

11:55 “And they say: Such cattle and crops are forbidden. No-one is to eat of them save whom we will - in their make-believe - cattle whose backs are forbidden, cattle over which they mention not the name of Allah. (All that is) a lie against Him. He will repay them for that which they invent.” (6:138)

11:58 They would never ride them under any circumstances,

12:00 doing so in that precise manner

12:02 out of falsehood against Allah

12:05 and inventiveness of untruth against Him.

12:08 Their Lord will recompense them for the lies they used to fabricate against Allah.

12:13 “And they say: That which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they (all) may be partakers thereof. He will reward them for their attribution (of such ordinances unto Him). Lo, He is Wise, Aware.” (6:139)

12:17 “And they say: That which is in the bellies of such cattle is reserved for our males and is forbidden to our wives; but if it be born dead, then they (all) may be partakers thereof. He will reward them for their attribution (of such ordinances unto Him). Lo, He is Wise, Aware.” (6:139)

12:55 in which case men and women would share in eating them.

13:00 Allah will recompense these fabricators for their false attribution of lie to Allah.

13:05 Indeed, Allah is All-Wise in all His management of His creation,

13:10 All-Knowing of what rectifies them and of all their other affairs.

13:15 “They are losers who besottedly have slain their children without knowledge, and have forbidden that which Allah bestowed upon them, inventing a lie against Allah. They indeed have gone astray and are not guided.” (6:140)

13:55 and were neither guided nor upright in their deeds.
