0:05 Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08 It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:14 Surat Al-Saffat
0:18 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:23 Gather together those who did wrong, and their spouses, and those who worshiped them
0:30 Instead of God, guide them to the path of hell
0:38 Gather together those who disbelieved in God in this world
0:41 And their followers continued to disbelieve in God
0:46 And they worshiped no gods other than God
0:49 So they directed them to the path of hell
0:54 Stop them, they are responsible
1:00 What is the matter with you that you do not support?
1:04 Rather, today they are surrendering
1:09 O angels, imprison these polytheists and their wives
1:14 They are responsible for what they worshiped instead of God
1:19 What is the matter with you, O polytheists of God, that you do not support one another?
1:24 Rather, today they are surrendering to God’s command and decree regarding them
1:29 We are certain of his torment
1:32 They approached each other asking questions
1:39 They said that you were coming to us from the right
1:46 They said, “Rather, you are not believers.”
1:50 We had no authority over you
1:57 Rather, you were a tyrannical people
2:04 The humans approached the jinn asking questions
2:07 The humans said to the jinn
2:10 You, jinn, used to come to us before religion and truth
2:15 You deceive us in the strongest ways
2:18 The jinn said
2:19 Rather, you were not affirming the monotheism of God
2:23 We have no argument against you to prevent you from believing
2:29 Rather, you polytheists were a people who oppressed God
2:34 Transgressing into what you have no right to transgress, such as disobeying God
2:40 So what our Lord said is true for us
2:44 We are delicious
2:49 We misled you. Indeed, we were deceitful
2:57 So the punishment of our Lord became necessary for us
2:59 We, you and I, will taste torment for our sins and disobedience that we have committed in this world
3:07 So we misled you from the path of God and belief in Him
3:11 We were lost
3:15 On that day, they will share in torment
3:20 We do the same to criminals
3:51 Then We will make them taste the painful torment
3:54 And We will bring them together with their companions in Hell
3:59 When they were told, “There is no god but God,” they would become arrogant
4:08 And they say, “We have left our gods to a crazy poet.”
4:16 Rather, he came with the truth and believed the messengers
4:24 These are polytheists in God
4:27 They were in this world when they were told, “Say, ‘There is no god but God.’”
4:32 They are proud of what is said and arrogant
4:36 They say we should abandon the worship of our gods to follow a crazy poet
4:43 Rather, they denied that Muhammad was as they described him
4:47 Rather, he is a prophet of God who brought the Qur’an from Him
4:52 He believed the messengers who were before him
4:57 You will taste the painful torment
5:04 And you will not be rewarded except for what you used to do
5:11 You, O polytheists, will taste painful torment in the afterlife
5:16 And you will not be rewarded in the Hereafter except the reward for what you did in this world of disobedience to God
5:25 Except sincere servants of God
5:29 Those have a known livelihood
5:35 Fruits and they are honored
5:40 In the gardens of bliss
5:44 On a secret opposite each other
5:49 They are brought around with a cup of wine
5:55 Delightful white for drinkers
6:01 There are no ghouls in it, nor do they bleed from it
6:10 Except for the servants of God whom He saved on the day He created them for His mercy
6:15 They will not taste torment
6:18 These sincere people have a known livelihood
6:22 It is the fruits that God created for them in Paradise
6:26 They are honored with God’s dignity with which God has honored them in the gardens of bliss
6:33 On a secret they meet each other
6:37 Servants parade around them with a cup of flowing wine
6:41 Visible to their unobtrusive eyes
6:44 A cup of wine is a pleasure that drinkers enjoy
6:49 There is no harm in this wine and there is no harm to the drinker in body or mind
6:55 And nothing else
6:57 Nor do they worry about drinking it. Their minds bleed
7:02 They have minor limbs
7:08 As if they were hidden white
7:15 And those who are sincere will be in heaven
7:18 Women who restricted their limbs to their husbands
7:23 They do not extend their gaze to others
7:27 The son of the eyes is her bones
7:30 As if they were hidden eggs
7:32 They looked like they were white and that no human being or jinn had touched them before their husbands
7:39 With the egg white that is inside the shell
7:43 It is skin covered with yolk
7:46 Before any other hand or thing touches it
7:49 As for the upper crust
7:51 The bird touches it and the hands touch it
7:57 They turned to each other asking questions
8:04 One of them said that I had a companion
8:11 He says, "Are you among those who believe?"
8:17 When we die and become dust and bones, will we be indebted?
8:26 Some of the people of Paradise approached each other asking questions
8:31 Someone from the people of Paradise said
8:34 I had a companion
8:36 That consort was a demon
8:40 That companion was telling him
8:43 Are you among those who believe in resurrection after death?
8:47 If we die and become dust and bones?
8:51 We are the ones who will be held accountable and rewarded
8:55 He said: Are you the one who comes out?
9:01 So he went out and saw him in the middle of hell
9:07 Tallah said that the blocks would satisfy you
9:12 Were it not for the grace of my Lord, I would have been among those in attendance
9:20 This is the believer who admitted his companions to Paradise
9:25 Are you going up into the fire?
9:27 Maybe I can see my horn
9:30 And they said yes
9:32 So he went up into the fire and saw him in the middle of hell
9:36 And he said to him
9:37 By God, if you exist in this world, you will destroy me by preventing me from believing in the resurrection
9:44 Had God not blessed me with His guidance and success in believing in the resurrection
9:50 I would have been among those present with you in God's punishment
9:55 Are we not dead?
9:59 Except our first death, and we will not be tormented
10:05 This is a great victory for him
10:10 Let the workers work for this
10:16 Are we not dead other than our first death in this world?
10:21 And we will not be tormented after we enter Paradise
10:25 This is the dignity that God has given us in Paradise
10:30 That we will not be tortured or die
10:32 It is a great salvation from what we used to be in this world, wary of God’s punishment
10:39 God Almighty said, mention him
10:41 For such is the dignity given to these believers in the afterlife
10:47 Let those who work in this world work for themselves
10:51 To realize what these people realized by obeying their Lord
10:56 Is that the best place to stay or the Zakum tree?
11:02 We have made it a trial for the wrongdoers
11:10 Is this good that I gave these believers from My dignity in Paradise?
11:16 Or what I have prepared for the people of Hell of Zakum
11:20 We have made it a temptation for these polytheists
11:24 Those who said: How do trees grow in the fire?
11:28 And the fire burns the trees
11:32 It is a tree that emerges at the root of hell
11:38 It looked like the heads of demons
11:43 They will eat from it and fill their stomachs with it
11:52 It is a tree that emerges at the root of hell
11:55 I was fed by fire and from it I was created
11:59 In its ugliness and vulgarity, it was as if the trees of the Zakum tree were the heads of demons
12:05 For these polytheists, for whom God made this tree, will be a trial
12:11 You will eat from this tree, which is the tree of Zakum
12:17 Millions of people will fill their stomachs with its sickness
12:30 Their reference is to hell
12:35 If they met their fathers asking
12:44 They are running on their tracks
12:49 These polytheists are responsible for what they eat from the Zakum tree
12:54 A mixture of hot water
12:57 The one who got hottest ended his heat
13:00 Then their fate is to hell
13:03 These polytheists found their fathers intentionally straying from the path
13:09 These people speed them on their way
13:13 To follow their footsteps and traditions
13:17 Most of the ancients had gone astray before them
13:22 And We have sent among them warners
13:27 So look at what was the outcome of those who were warned
13:33 Except sincere servants of God
13:38 O Muhammad, most of the nations before them have strayed from the right path before the polytheists of your people
13:45 And We sent warners to the nations that passed before you, warning them of Our punishment
13:52 So contemplate and see how We destroyed the warners
13:55 Except the servants of God whom We have sincerely believed in God and His messengers
14:02 Noah called out to us and those who responded responded
14:09 We saved him and his family from great distress
14:15 And We made his descendants the ones who remain
14:22 God Almighty says mention him
14:24 Noah called us by asking us about the destruction of his people
14:29 Let us be the best responders. We were His when He called us
14:33 So we answered his prayer and destroyed his people
14:37 We saved him and his family who boarded the ship with him
14:41 From the harm and hatred that he experienced from the unbelievers
14:46 From the anguish of flood and drowning
14:49 And We made the descendants of Noah those who remained on earth after the destruction of his people
14:55 The non-Arabs and the Arabs are the descendants of Shem, son of Noah
14:59 The Turks, Saqlabiyya, and Khazars are the sons of Japheth ibn Noah
15:04 Sudan is the children of Ham, son of Noah
15:07 Thus, the effects came and the scholars said
15:12 We left it to others
15:16 Peace be upon Noah in the worlds
15:22 This is how We reward the doers of good
15:27 He is one of our faithful servants
15:32 Then we drowned the others
15:40 And We preserved Noah with beautiful remembrance and good praise
15:44 Of the people who stayed behind after him, they would remind him of him
15:48 A guarantee from God for Noah in the worlds that no one would remember him badly
15:54 We are as we did to Noah as a reward for our obedience
15:59 Thus We reward those who do good and obey Us
16:03 Noah was one of our servants who believed in us
16:07 So unite us and devote our worship to us
16:10 Then We drowned when We saved Noah and his family from the great distress of what remained of his people
