0:22 "Indeed, Allah chose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham..."

0:31 “Lo! Allah preferred Adam and Noah and the Family of Abraham and the Family of 'Imran above (all His) creatures.” (3:33)

0:39 Indeed, Allah chose Adam and Noah, selecting them for His religion,

0:44 As well as the family of Abraham, his followers, and his people who adhered to his religion,

0:48 And the family of 'Imran for the religion they upheld,

0:52 Because they were people of Islam,

0:55 "Offspring, one of the other,"

1:01 "And Allah is Hearing and Knowing."

1:06 Allah chose the family of Abraham and the family of 'Imran;

1:09 They were an offspring whose religion was one in Islam and truth,

1:24 And all-knowing of what she concealed within herself,

1:27 When she dedicated what was in her womb purely for His service:

1:31 “(Remember) when the wife of 'Imran said: My Lord! I have vowed unto Thee that which is in my belly as a consecrated (offering). Accept it from me. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Hearer, the Knower!” (3:35)

1:41 "...dedicated [to Your service], so accept this from me."

1:47 "Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing."

1:53 When the wife of 'Imran said:

1:56 "O Lord, I have pledged a vow to You,

1:59 That whatever is in my womb

2:01 Shall be devoted entirely to Your service in the temple,

2:04 Exclusively consecrated to You.

2:07 So accept from me what I have vowed to You, my Lord.

2:10 You, my Lord, are all-hearing of what I utter and supplicate,

2:15 And all-knowing of what I intend and desire within myself."

2:19 “And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female - Allah knew best of what she was delivered - the male is not as the female; and lo! I have named her Mary, and lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast.” (3:36)

2:28 “And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female - Allah knew best of what she was delivered - the male is not as the female; and lo! I have named her Mary, and lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast.” (3:36)

2:32 "And the male is not like the female."

3:13 For the male is stronger and better suited for service,

3:16 While the female is unsuited in certain conditions

3:20 Due to the menstruation and post-natal bleeding that affect her.

3:23 And she said, "And I have named her Mary,

3:27 And I place her and her offspring under Your protection from the accursed Satan."

3:34 “And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. Whenever Zachariah went into the sanctuary where she was, he found that she had food. He said: O Mary! Whence cometh unto thee this (food)? She answered: It is from Allah. Allah giveth without stint to whom He will.” (3:37)

3:43 “And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. Whenever Zachariah went into the sanctuary where she was, he found that she had food. He said: O Mary! Whence cometh unto thee this (food)? She answered: It is from Allah. Allah giveth without stint to whom He will.” (3:37)

3:50 "Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the sanctuary,

3:55 He found with her provision.

3:59 He said, 'O Mary, from where does this come to you?'"

4:04 “And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. Whenever Zachariah went into the sanctuary where she was, he found that she had food. He said: O Mary! Whence cometh unto thee this (food)? She answered: It is from Allah. Allah giveth without stint to whom He will.” (3:37)

4:08 “And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. 4:18 So Allah accepted Mary from her mother,

4:21 Through her dedicating her to the temple and its service,

4:25 And the service of her Lord, with a gracious acceptance.

4:29 Her Lord caused her to grow in His nourishment and sustenance with a goodly growth,

4:33 Until she reached maturity and became a fully grown, complete woman.

4:38 And Allah entrusted Mary to Zechariah,

4:42 “And her Lord accepted her with full acceptance and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth; and made Zachariah her guardian. Whenever Zachariah went into the sanctuary where she was, he found that she had food. He said: O Mary! Whence cometh unto thee this (food)? She answered: It is from Allah. Allah giveth without stint to whom He will.” (3:37)

4:45 Who was the leader of the place of prayer.

4:47 He found with her provision from Allah for her sustenance,

4:51 So Zechariah said,

4:52 "O Mary, from what source is this provision that I see with you?"

4:58 Mary replied to him, saying,

5:01 "It is from Allah."

5:02 Meaning that He is the One who provided it for her,

5:05 Bestowing it upon her and granting it to her.

5:08 Indeed, Allah conveys His provision to whomsoever He wills of His creation

5:12 Without limit or any reckoning required of His servant.

5:18 "At that point Zechariah called upon his Lord,"

5:22 “Then Zachariah prayed unto his Lord and said: My Lord! Bestow upon me of Thy bounty goodly offspring. Lo! Thou art the Hearer of Prayer.” (3:38)

5:30 "Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication."

5:36 When Zechariah witnessed what he saw with Mary of Allah's provision and bounty,

5:41 He yearned for a child,

5:43 Hoping that Allah would grant him offspring.

5:46 So he said:

5:47 "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a blessed child;

5:51 Indeed, You are the Hearer of prayer."

5:54 “And the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: Allah giveth thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is) John, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah lordly, chaste, a prophet of the righteous.” (3:39)

6:06 "That Allah gives you glad tidings of John, confirming a word from Allah,

6:20 And honorable and chaste..."

6:24 “And the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: Allah giveth thee glad tidings of (a son whose name is) John, (who cometh) to confirm a word from Allah lordly, chaste, a prophet of the righteous.” (3:39)

6:34 And the angels called out to him while he stood praying:

6:38 "Allah gives you glad tidings, O Zechariah, of John as a son to you,

6:43 Who will confirm Jesus, the son of Mary,

6:45 Noble in knowledge and worship,

6:48 Chaste, abstaining from relations with women,

6:51 And a messenger to his Lord from among His righteous prophets."

6:56 “He said: My Lord! How can I have a son when age hath overtaken me already and my wife is barren? (The angel) answered: So (it will be). Allah doeth what He will.” (3:40)

7:06 "He said, 'Thus Allah does what He wills.'"

7:14 Zechariah said:

7:16 "One who has reached my advanced age does not have children born to him,

7:20 And my wife is barren, unable to give birth."

7:22 Allah said:

7:24 "It is easy for Me to create a child from an aged man,

7:28 And from a barren woman who would never be expected to give birth."

7:32 For He is Allah, to Whom the creation of anything He wills is never impossible,

7:37 Nor can anything He desires ever be hindered.

7:41 "He said, 'My Lord, make for me a sign.'"

7:45 “He said: My Lord! Appoint a token for me. (The angel) said: The token unto thee (shall be) that thou shalt not speak unto mankind three days except by signs. Remember thy Lord much, and praise (Him) in the early hours of night and morning.” (3:41)

7:54 "'And remember your Lord much,

7:57 And exalt [Him] in the evening and the morning.'"

8:03 Zechariah said:

8:05 "O Lord, if this call that I was addressed with is the voice of Your angels,

8:10 And glad tidings from You to me,

8:12 Then make for me a sign that it is truly so,

8:16 So that any whispered doubt from Satan suggesting it was not the voice of the angels may depart from me."

8:23 So Allah disciplined him for requesting a sign

8:26 After the angels had directly addressed him with the glad tidings,

8:30 And He made his sign come from himself,

8:33 As a purification for his lapse.

8:36 Allah said:

8:37 "Your sign is that you shall not speak to the people for the coming three days,

8:43 Except by gesture and sign,

8:45 Without any dumbness, handicap, or disease.

8:49 And remember your Lord much,

8:51 For you are not prevented from remembering Him,

8:54 And glorify your Lord in worship,

8:56 From the time the sun passes its zenith until it sets,

8:59 And from the break of dawn until the forenoon."

9:08 "And [mention] when they said, 'O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you...'"

9:13 “And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation.” (3:42)

9:18 “And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation.” (3:42)

9:24 "And when the angels said:

9:27 'O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and selected you for His obedience,

9:31 Purified your faith from doubts and impurities,

9:34 And chosen you above the women of the worlds in your time due to your obedience to Him,

9:39 Favoring you over them.'"

9:50 The angels said to Mary:

9:53 "O Mary, dedicate the worship of your Lord sincerely to His Face,

9:57 Be humble in obedience and worship to Him alongside those of His creation who are humble,

10:02 In gratitude to Him for the honor He bestowed upon you through election and purification."

10:08 "That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you..."

10:15 “This is of the tidings of things hidden. We reveal it unto thee (Muhammad). Thou wast not present with them when they threw their pens (to know) which of them should be the guardian of Mary, nor wast thou present with them when they quarrelled (thereupon).” (3:44)

10:20 "...which of them should take charge of Mary..."

10:23 "...which of them should take charge of Mary..."

10:25 “This is of the tidings of things hidden. We reveal it unto thee (Muhammad). Thou wast not present with them when they threw their pens (to know) which of them should be the guardian of Mary, nor wast thou present with them when they quarrelled (thereupon).” (3:44)

10:32 These reports belong to the tidings of the unseen,

10:35 Which We send down to you as divine revelation.

10:37 You were not present with them, O Muhammad,

10:40 When they cast their reed pens with which the lot-casters of the Children of Israel drew lots

10:45 Over the guardianship of Mary;

10:48 Nor were you present with Mary's people, O Muhammad,

10:51 When they disputed among themselves over who was most entitled and worthy of her.

11:07 “(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).” (3:45)

11:14 “(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).” (3:45)

11:22 “(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).” (3:45)

11:30 "When the angels said..."

11:32 “(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah).” (3:45)

11:37 "He is a son for you whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary;

11:41 Allah anointed him, purifying him from sins;

11:44 Distinguished and holding a high status with Allah, possessed of honor and dignity,

11:50 And among those brought near to Allah on the Day of Resurrection,

11:53 Where He will settle him in His proximity and draw him close to Himself."

11:57 “He will speak unto mankind in his cradle and in his manhood, and he is of the righteous.” (3:46)

12:06 “She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is.” (3:47)

12:14 “She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is.” (3:47)

12:22 "When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is."

12:33 "And he will speak to the people as an infant in the cradle,

12:36 To demonstrate his mother's innocence of the slander cast upon her by the fabricators;

12:42 And he will speak to the people as a mature adult,

12:45 As a refutation against those among the disbelieving Christians who utter falsehood concerning him;

12:52 And he will be among the righteous and their foremost allies."

12:56 Mary said, "My Lord, how can I have a child?

13:01 Will it be through a husband that I marry, a spouse with whom I consummate,

13:05 Or will You originate his creation without any mortal having touched me?"

13:10 Allah replied: In this very manner does Allah create a child from you without any human touching you;

13:17 It is merely that when He decrees a matter, He commands whatever He wills,

13:21 Saying to it, "Be," and whatever He wills comes into being.

13:28 “And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel,” (3:48)

13:36 Allah will teach him writing, penned with his hand,

13:40 Along with the Sunnah, the Torah revealed to Moses, and the Gospel.

13:45 “And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers.” (3:49)

13:54 “And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers.” (3:49)

14:02 “And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. 14:12 “And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! 14:23 "'...and I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead by Allah's leave,

14:29 And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses.

14:37 Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.'"

14:47 "And We shall make him a messenger to the Children of Israel,"

14:51 Sent as a prophet, a bearer of glad tidings, and a warner:

14:54 "And the proof of my truthfulness

14:56 Is that I have brought you a sign from your Lord,

14:59 Verifying my words and confirming my message,

15:03 By fashioning for you out of clay the likeness of a bird,

15:06 “And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers.” (3:49)

15:10 And healing the blind and the leper,

15:13 And reviving the dead by Allah's leave,

15:15 By supplicating Allah on their behalf so that He answers;

15:19 And I inform you of what you eat, which I have not personally witnessed alongside you at the time of your eating,

15:26 And what you set aside and store away without consuming.

15:30 Indeed, in that is a lesson for you and a subject for deep reflection,

15:36 That I am truly a messenger from your Lord sent to you,

15:39 If you genuinely believe in Allah's proofs and signs."

15:56 “And (I come) confirming that which was before me of the Torah, and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you. I come unto you with a sign from your Lord, so keep your duty to Allah and obey me.” (3:50)

16:05 "'Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him.

16:11 That is a straight path.'"

16:17 "And I have come to you confirming what was before me of the Torah,

16:21 And I have brought you a clear proof and an admonition from your Lord,

16:25 By which you may recognize the truth of what I say to you.

16:29 So fear Allah, O Children of Israel, regarding what I enjoin upon you and what I forbid you from,

16:35 And obey me in that which I call you to, by believing in that with which He has sent me to you.

16:42 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him,

16:45 For He is the One Who sent me to you;

16:48 And that is the upright path and the steadfast guidance wherein lies no crookedness."
