0:18 In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

0:22 “The similitude of the two parties is as the blind and the deaf and the seer and the hearer. Are they equal in similitude? Will ye not then be admonished?” (11:24)

0:34 Will you not then take heed?

0:39 The parable of the two parties—those of disbelief and those of faith—

0:42 Is like the blind man who sees nothing with his eyes,

0:46 And the deaf man who hears nothing.

0:49 Such is the party of disbelief:

0:51 They do not see the truth so as to follow it,

0:53 Being preoccupied with their disbelief in Allah,

0:56 Nor do they hear the caller of Allah to righteousness so as to respond to him.

1:00 Whereas the one who hears and sees—

1:02 That is the party of faith:

1:05 They have perceived the proofs of Allah,

1:07 Acknowledged what those proofs indicate regarding the oneness of Allah,

1:10 Heard the caller of Allah and responded to him, and acted in obedience to Allah.

1:15 Are these two parties equal in your estimation, O people?

1:20 Such is the state of the disbeliever and the believer;

1:23 They are not equal in the sight of Allah.

1:25 Will you not then take a lesson, O people, and reflect?

1:31 We sent Noah to his people:

1:34 "Indeed, I am to you a clear warner,

1:40 That you worship none but Allah."

1:44 “That ye serve none, save Allah. Lo! I fear for you the retribution of a painful Day.” (11:26)

1:52 We sent Noah to his people,

1:55 Saying, "Indeed, I am to you, O my people, a warner from Allah.

1:59 I warn you of His severity regarding your disbelief in Him,

2:02 And I clarify to you what I have been sent with regarding the commands and prohibitions of Allah.

2:08 That you worship none but Allah."

2:10 So single out Allah with monotheism and devote your worship sincerely to Him.

2:15 "Indeed, O my people, if you do not devote your worship sincerely to Allah,

2:20 I fear for you the punishment of a day whose torment is painful."

2:26 But the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said,

2:30 “The chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: We see thee but a mortal like us, and we see not that any follow thee save the most abject among us, without reflection. We behold in you no merit above us - nay, we deem you liars.” (11:27)

2:39 “The chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: We see thee but a mortal like us, and we see not that any follow thee save the most abject among us, without reflection. We behold in you no merit above us - nay, we deem you liars.” (11:27)

2:51 “The chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: We see thee but a mortal like us, and we see not that any follow thee save the most abject among us, without reflection. We behold in you no merit above us - nay, we deem you liars.” (11:27)

2:56 "Rather, we think you are liars."

3:01 The leaders and nobles among the people of Noah said,

3:05 "We do not see you, O Noah, except as a human being like us in creation, appearance, and nature.

3:11 And we do not see that you have been followed except by those who are the lowest among us, as far as we can see and as it appears to us.

3:18 And we do not see in you any merit over us that would justify your opposing us,

3:24 So that we should follow you in pursuit of that merit.

3:28 Rather, we think you, O Noah, in your claims that Allah has sent you to us, are a liar."

3:35 Noah said, "O my people, have you considered: if I am upon clear evidence from my Lord,

3:42 “He said: O my people! Bethink you, if I rely on a clear proof from my Lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from His presence, and it hath been made obscure to you, can we compel you to accept it when ye are averse thereto?” (11:28)

3:49 And it has been obscured from you?

3:55 Shall we force it upon you while you are averse to it?"

4:02 Noah said, "O my people, have you considered: if I am upon knowledge and insight from Allah regarding what is required of me,

4:11 And what is incumbent upon me of sincere worship to Him and abandoning the association of idols,

4:16 And He has granted me from Himself success, prophethood, and wisdom,

4:20 Yet this mercy has been obscured from you, so you have not been guided to it?

4:25 Shall I force you to enter into Islam when Allah has obscured it from you,

4:30 While you are averse to our compelling you?"

4:33 "We will not do that, but we entrust your affair to Allah."

4:40 “And O my people! I ask of you no wealth therefor. My reward is the concern only of Allah, and I am not going to thrust away those who believe - Lo! they have to meet their Lord! - but I see you a folk that are ignorant.” (11:29)

4:44 "My reward is only from Allah."

4:49 “And O my people! I ask of you no wealth therefor. My reward is the concern only of Allah, and I am not going to thrust away those who believe - Lo! they have to meet their Lord! - but I see you a folk that are ignorant.” (11:29)

4:53 "They will meet their Lord, but I see you as a people who are ignorant."

5:04 Noah said, "O my people, I do not ask you for wealth for my advice to you,

5:11 So that you might accuse me regarding my counsel.

5:14 My reward for advising you is only from Allah.

5:18 And I am not one to drive away those who have believed in Allah.

5:22 Indeed, these whom you ask me to drive away are going to their Lord,

5:27 And Allah will question them about what they used to do, not about their nobility or lineage.

5:33 But I see you, O my people, as a people who are ignorant of what is required of you regarding the right of Allah."

5:41 “And, O my people! who would deliver me from Allah if I thrust them away? Will ye not then reflect?” (11:30)

5:52 "And O my people, who would protect me from Allah if He were to punish me for driving away the believers?

5:58 Will you not then reflect upon what you are saying?

6:02 So that you might realize your error and desist from it."

6:06 “I say not unto you: "I have the treasures of Allah" nor "I have knowledge of the Unseen," nor say I: "Lo! I am an angel!" Nor say I unto those whom your eyes scorn that Allah will not give them good - Allah knoweth best what is in their hearts - Lo! then indeed I should be of the wrong-doers.” (11:31)

6:45 "And I do not say to you that I have the depositories of Allah, which nothing can deplete,

6:51 So that I might invite you to follow me based on that.

6:54 Nor do I know what is hidden of the inner secrets of the servants,

6:58 So that I might claim divinity and invite you to worship me.

7:02 Nor do I say that I am an angel sent to you,

7:07 So that I would be a liar in that claim.

7:11 Nor do I say to those whom you despise, who have followed me,

7:15 “I say not unto you: "I have the treasures of Allah" nor "I have knowledge of the Unseen," nor say I: "Lo! I am an angel!" Nor say I unto those whom your eyes scorn that Allah will not give them good - Allah knoweth best what is in their hearts - Lo! then indeed I should be of the wrong-doers.” (11:31)

7:18 Allah is most knowing of what is in their souls and the beliefs of their hearts.

7:23 I only have authority over what is apparent and manifest of their faith,

7:27 So I will not drive them away.

7:29 If I were to drive them away, I would be among the wrongdoers,

7:34 Those who transgress what Allah has commanded them."

7:38 “They said: O Noah! Thou hast disputed with us and multiplied disputation with us; now bring upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us, if thou art of the truthful.” (11:32)

7:43 "So bring us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful."

7:55 The people of Noah said,

7:57 "You have argued with us and prolonged our dispute.

8:00 So bring us what you promise us of punishment,

8:03 If you are of the truthful in your promises."

8:08 “He said: Only Allah will bring it upon you if He will, and ye can by no means escape.” (11:33)

8:19 “My counsel will not profit you if I were minded to advise you, if Allah's will is to keep you astray. He is your Lord and unto Him ye will be brought back.” (11:34)

8:30 “My counsel will not profit you if I were minded to advise you, if Allah's will is to keep you astray. He is your Lord and unto Him ye will be brought back.” (11:34)

8:36 Noah said,

8:37 "O my people, the punishment you seek to hasten is not for me to bring;

8:42 That is only for Allah.

8:44 And you will not be able to escape Him if He intends to punish you,

8:49 Because wherever you are, you are within His dominion and authority.

8:53 And my advice will not benefit you if I intend to advise you, because you do not accept it,

9:01 If Allah intends to destroy you with His punishment.

9:05 And to Him you will be returned after destruction."

9:09 Or do they say, "He invented it"?

9:13 “Or say they (again): He hath invented it? Say: If I have invented it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) that ye commit.” (11:35)

9:26 Do these polytheists from your people say, O Muhammad,

9:30 "Muhammad has invented this Qur'an,

9:33 And this account of Noah"?

9:35 Say to them:

9:37 "If I have invented it, then upon me is my crime.

9:40 You will not be held accountable for my sin, nor will I be held accountable for your sin.

9:44 And I am innocent of what you commit of sins and transgressions against your Lord."

9:50 “And it was inspired in Noah, (saying): No-one of thy folk will believe save him who hath believed already. Be not distressed because of what they do.” (11:36)

9:59 “And it was inspired in Noah, (saying): No-one of thy folk will believe save him who hath believed already. Be not distressed because of what they do.” (11:36)

10:11 And Allah revealed to Noah when the decree was passed against his people:

10:16 "That no one will believe, O Noah, from your people except those who have already believed and followed you.

10:24 So do not be distressed or saddened by what they have been doing.

10:28 For I am going to destroy them."

10:31 “Build the ship under Our eyes and by Our inspiration, and speak not unto Me on behalf of those who do wrong. Lo! they will be drowned.” (11:37)

10:39 "Indeed, they are to be drowned."

10:45 And it was revealed to him to build the ark under the eyes of Allah and His revelation, as He commands you.

10:52 "And do not ask Me for the pardon of those who have wronged themselves among your people;

10:58 Indeed, they are to be drowned by the flood."

11:02 “And he was building the ship, and every time that chieftains of his people passed him, they made mock of him. He said: Though ye make mock of Us, yet We mock at you even as ye mock;” (11:38)

11:10 “And he was building the ship, and every time that chieftains of his people passed him, they made mock of him. He said: Though ye make mock of Us, yet We mock at you even as ye mock;” (11:38)

11:21 And Noah began building the ark.

11:23 And whenever a group of the leaders of his people passed by him,

11:28 They mocked Noah and said to him,

11:31 "Have you turned into a carpenter after prophethood?

11:34 And are you building the ark on land?"

11:37 Noah would say to them:

11:39 "If you mock us today,

11:41 We will mock you in the Hereafter,

11:44 Just as you are mocking us in this world.

12:01 You will soon know, O people, when the command of Allah comes,

12:06 Who it is upon whom a punishment from Allah will come that will disgrace and humiliate him,

12:10 And upon whom will descend in the Hereafter, along with that, an everlasting punishment that will not be cut off."

12:17 Until, when Our command came and the oven overflowed,

12:23 We said, "Load into it of each mate two, and your family."

12:31 “(Thus it was) till, when Our commandment came to pass and the oven gushed forth water, We said: Load therein two of every kind, a pair (the male and female), and thy household, save him against whom the word hath gone forth already, and those who believe. And but a few were they who believed with him.” (11:40)

12:37 “(Thus it was) till, when Our commandment came to pass and the oven gushed forth water, We said: Load therein two of every kind, a pair (the male and female), and thy household, save him against whom the word hath gone forth already, and those who believe. And but a few were they who believed with him.” (11:40)

12:43 Until, when Our command that We promised came,

12:46 That his people would be overtaken by the flood,

12:50 And the oven—from which bread is baked—overflowed,

12:53 Which was a sign for Noah that the water had emerged from it,

12:57 Then destruction and drowning had come to the people.

13:00 We said to Noah:

13:02 "Load into the ship of every creature a pair, male and female,

13:05 And load your family as well into the ship,

13:08 Who are his children and his wives,

13:12 Except those about whom I have said, 'I will destroy them along with those who are destroyed from your people.'

13:17 And load with them those who followed you from your people."

13:21 And none believed with Noah from his people except a few.
