0:15 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:23 “I made them not to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor their own creation; nor choose I misleaders for (My) helpers.” (18:51)

0:30 “I made them not to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor their own creation; nor choose I misleaders for (My) helpers.” (18:51)

0:40 I did not bring Iblis and his progeny to witness the creation of the heavens and the earth.

0:45 Nor did I call upon some of them to witness the creation of others.

0:49 So that I might seek their help in My creation.

0:51 Rather, I alone created all of that, without any helper or assistant.

0:56 And I would never take as helpers or supporters those who cannot guide to the truth.

1:02 “And (be mindful of) the Day when He will say: Call those partners of Mine whom ye pretended. Then they will cry unto them, but they will not hear their prayer, and We shall set a gulf of doom between them.” (18:52)

1:18 And on the Day when Allah says:

1:21 "Call upon those whom you claimed were My partners in worship,"

1:26 To help you and protect you from Me.

1:29 They will call upon them for help, but they will not help them.

1:33 And We have placed between these polytheists,

1:36 And those they used to call upon besides Allah as partners in the worldly life, a cause of their destruction.

1:57 And the polytheists will see the Fire on that Day.

2:02 And they will realize that they are to enter it.

2:05 And they will find no escape from the Fire they see,

2:08 No place to turn to or flee toward.

2:11 Because Allah has decreed that for them.

2:14 “And verily We have displayed for mankind in this Qur'an all manner of similitudes, but man is more than anything contentious.” (18:54)

2:24 “And verily We have displayed for mankind in this Qur'an all manner of similitudes, but man is more than anything contentious.” (18:54)

2:31 “And verily We have displayed for mankind in this Qur'an all manner of similitudes, but man is more than anything contentious.” (18:54)

2:36 And We have exhorted them therein with every kind of admonition.

2:39 And We have argued against them with every proof, so that they might remember and turn back to Allah.

2:44 Yet man is, of all things, most prone to argument and dispute.

2:49 He does not turn to the truth, nor is he deterred by admonition.

2:54 And nothing prevented people from believing when guidance came to them,

3:00 “And naught hindereth mankind from believing when the guidance cometh unto them, and from asking forgiveness of their Lord unless (it be that they wish) that the judgment of the men of old should come upon them or (that) they should be confronted with the Doom.” (18:55)

3:16 “And naught hindereth mankind from believing when the guidance cometh unto them, and from asking forgiveness of their Lord unless (it be that they wish) that the judgment of the men of old should come upon them or (that) they should be confronted with the Doom.” (18:55)

3:24 O Muhammad, [and from seeking] faith in Allah,

3:26 When the clear proof of Allah came to them,

3:28 And from seeking forgiveness for the shirk they persist in,

3:33 Except that the precedent of the earlier nations—who denied their messengers—should befall them,

3:39 Or that the punishment should come upon them openly.

3:44 And We do not send the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners.

3:50 Yet those who disbelieve argue with falsehood to refute the truth thereby.

3:57 “We send not the messengers save as bearers of good news and warners. Those who disbelieve contend with falsehood in order to refute the Truth thereby. And they take Our revelations and that wherewith they are threatened as a jest.” (18:56)

4:03 And We do not send Our messengers except to bring good tidings to the people of faith and conviction,

4:08 Regarding the abundant reward in the Hereafter,

4:11 And to warn those who disbelieve and deny [the truth] of His severe punishment.

4:16 And those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messenger dispute with falsehood.

4:21 We do not send Our messengers for the sake of argument and dispute.

4:26 Yet you argue with them using falsehood to invalidate the truth, remove it, and cause it to vanish.

4:33 And the disbelievers in Allah have taken the proofs He used against them,

4:38 And the Book He revealed to them,

4:41 And the warnings with which He warned them, as a mockery, ridiculing them.

4:47 “And who doth greater wrong than he who hath been reminded of the revelations of his Lord, yet turneth away from them and forgetteth what his hands send forward (to the Judgment)? Lo! on their hearts We have placed coverings so that they understand not, and in their ears a deafness. And though thou call them to the guidance, in that case they can never be led aright.” (18:57)

4:57 We have placed coverings over their hearts so they do not understand it, and deafness in their ears.

5:07 And if you call them to guidance, they will never be guided, ever.

5:15 And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses and proofs of his Lord,

5:20 Which guide him to the path of righteousness and lead him to the way of salvation,

5:26 Yet he turns away from His verses and evidence,

5:29 And forgets the destructive sins he previously committed, without repenting?

5:34 We have placed over the hearts of those who turn away from the verses of Allah,

5:39 Coverings so that they do not understand it,

5:42 And in their ears a heaviness so that they do not hear it.

5:46 And if you, O Muhammad, call these people who turn away from the verses of Allah to remain steadfast upon the truth,

5:53 They will never remain steadfast upon the truth, ever.

5:57 Because Allah has set a seal upon their hearts, their hearing, and their sight.

6:13 And your Lord, O Muhammad, is the One who covers the sins of His servants by pardoning them if they repent.

6:20 He is the Possessor of mercy.

6:21 If He were to hold these people who turn away from His verses to account for the sins and offenses they have committed,

6:28 He would hasten the punishment for them.

6:31 But out of His mercy for His creation,

6:33 [He is] the Possessor of mercy.

6:39 But out of His mercy for His creation,

6:42 He does not do that to them.

6:44 Rather, they have an appointed time.

6:47 These polytheists will find no refuge to which they can turn,

6:51 Nor any escape by which they can be saved from the punishment of Allah.

6:55 And those towns, We destroyed them when they committed injustice.

7:01 And We appointed a time for their destruction.

7:06 And those towns, such as 'Ad, Thamud, and the people of the Thicket,

7:12 We destroyed their people when they committed injustice by disbelieving in Allah and His verses.

7:17 And We appointed a fixed time and term for their destruction.

7:21 Likewise, We have appointed a time for these polytheists among your people, O Muhammad.

7:27 When that time comes to them, We will destroy them.

7:32 “And when Moses said unto his servant: I will not give up until I reach the point where the two rivers meet, though I march on for ages.” (18:60)

7:42 And remember, O Muhammad, when Moses said to his young attendant, Yusha' (Joshua):

7:46 "I will not cease traveling until I reach the junction of the Roman Sea and the Persian Sea,

7:52 Or I will travel for a long time and age."

7:55 But when they reached the junction between them, they forgot their fish.

8:01 They forgot their fish, and it took its course into the sea, slipping away.

8:09 When Moses and his attendant reached the junction of the two seas,

8:13 They forgot their fish.

8:15 And the fish took a path into the sea like a tunnel.

8:19 Until Moses returned to it and saw it.

8:21 When they had passed beyond it, he said to his attendant, "Bring us our morning meal."

8:30 “And when they had gone further, he said unto his servant: Bring us our breakfast. Verily we have found fatigue in this our journey.” (18:62)

8:39 When Moses and his attendant had passed beyond the junction of the two seas,

8:43 Moses said to his attendant, Yusha',

8:46 "Bring us our morning meal."

8:48 "We have certainly encountered fatigue and exhaustion from this journey of ours."

8:53 “He said: Didst thou see, when we took refuge on the rock, and I forgot the fish - and none but Satan caused me to forget to mention it - it took its way into the waters by a marvel.” (18:63)

9:01 “He said: Didst thou see, when we took refuge on the rock, and I forgot the fish - and none but Satan caused me to forget to mention it - it took its way into the waters by a marvel.” (18:63)

9:14 His attendant said to Moses,

9:19 "I forgot the fish there."

9:22 "And none made me forget to mention the fish except Satan."

9:26 And Moses marveled at the path of the fish in the sea.

9:31 “He said: This is that which we have been seeking. So they retraced their steps again.” (18:64)

9:35 So they retraced their footsteps, following their tracks.

9:40 “Then found they one of Our slaves, unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and had taught him knowledge from Our presence.” (18:65)

9:44 “Then found they one of Our slaves, unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and had taught him knowledge from Our presence.” (18:65)

9:49 “Then found they one of Our slaves, unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and had taught him knowledge from Our presence.” (18:65)

9:59 So Moses said to his attendant,

10:01 "Your forgetting the fish is what we were seeking."

10:04 Because Moses had been told,

10:06 "Your companion whom you seek is where you forget the fish."

10:10 So they returned along the path they had already traveled.

10:14 And they found a servant from among Our servants, a man of knowledge.

10:17 We had granted him mercy from Us.

10:20 And We had taught him knowledge from Our presence.

10:24 Moses said to him,

10:27 "May I follow you on the condition that you teach me,

10:31 From what you have been taught, some guidance?"

10:34 “He said: Lo! thou canst not bear with me.” (18:67)

10:40 “How canst thou bear with that whereof thou canst not compass any knowledge?” (18:68)

10:45 Moses said to the learned man,

10:48 "May I follow you so that you may teach me from the knowledge,

10:52 That Allah has taught you, which is guidance to the truth,

10:55 And a proof of right direction?"

10:57 The learned man said,

10:59 "You will never be able to have patience with me."

11:02 "That is because I act based on an inner knowledge,

11:05 Which Allah has taught me.

11:07 And you have no knowledge except of the outward aspects of matters.

11:10 So you will not be patient with the actions you see."

11:13 "And how, O Moses, can you be patient with the actions you see from me,

11:18 When you have no knowledge of the reasons for their correctness?"

11:22 “He said: Allah willing, thou shalt find me patient and I shall not in aught gainsay thee.” (18:69)

11:28 “He said: Allah willing, thou shalt find me patient and I shall not in aught gainsay thee.” (18:69)

11:32 He said, "If you follow me..."

11:34 “He said: Well, if thou go with me, ask me not concerning aught till I myself make mention of it unto thee.” (18:70)

11:37 “He said: Well, if thou go with me, ask me not concerning aught till I myself make mention of it unto thee.” (18:70)

11:41 Moses said,

11:43 "You will find me, if Allah wills, patient with what I see from you,

11:47 Even if it is contrary to what I consider correct.

11:50 And I will submit to what you command me,

11:53 Even if it does not align with my own inclination."

11:56 The learned man said to Moses,

11:59 "If you follow me now,

12:02 Then do not ask me about anything I do that you disapprove of,

12:06 Until I myself explain to you the actions you see me performing,

12:11 And clarify their nature to you,

12:12 And initiate the account of them for you."

12:15 So they set off, until when they had boarded a ship, he scuttled it.

12:22 “So they twain set out till, when they were in the ship, he made a hole therein. (Moses) said: Hast thou made a hole therein to drown the folk thereof? Thou verily hast done a dreadful thing.” (18:71)

12:29 Moses and the learned man set off, traveling and looking for a ship to board.

12:35 Until when they found one, they boarded the ship.

12:39 When they had boarded it, the learned man scuttled the ship.

12:43 Moses said to him,

12:45 "Did you scuttle it after we had gone out into the sea, to drown its people?"

12:50 "You have certainly done a grave thing and committed a reprehensible act."

12:55 He said, "Did I not say that you would never be able to have patience with me?"

13:03 “(Moses) said: Be not wroth with me that I forgot, and be not hard upon me for my fault.” (18:73)

13:11 The learned man said to Moses,

13:14 "Did I not say that you would never be able to have patience with me regarding the actions you see,

13:20 Because you see what you have not encompassed with knowledge?"

13:24 Moses said to him,

13:26 “(Moses) said: Be not wroth with me that I forgot, and be not hard upon me for my fault.” (18:73)

13:29 "And do not make my affair with you and my companionship with you difficult."

13:33 So they set off, until when they met a boy, he killed him.

13:40 “So they twain journeyed on till, when they met a lad, he slew him. (Moses) said: What! Hast thou slain an innocent soul who hath slain no man? Verily thou hast done a horrid thing.” (18:74)

13:54 So they set off, until when they met a boy, the learned man killed him.

14:01 Moses said to him,

14:03 "Have you killed a pure soul who has committed no sin?"

14:07 "You have certainly done a reprehensible thing and committed an unknown act."
