0:00 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:05 Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08 It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:14 Surat Al-Ankabut
0:18 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:23 So Lot believed in him
0:27 He said that I am an immigrant to my Lord
0:32 He is the Mighty, the Wise
0:37 So Abraham, God’s friend, believed Lot
0:41 Ibrahim said
0:43 I am an immigrant from my homeland to the Levant
0:46 Indeed, my Lord is the Mighty, the One who is not humbled by His victory
0:50 The wise man is in his management of his creation
0:54 And We gave him Isaac and Jacob
0:58 And grant us prophecy and the Book among his descendants
1:09 And We gave him his wealth in this world
1:13 In the afterlife, he will be among the righteous
1:20 And We bestowed upon him from Us a son, Ishaq
1:23 After him, Jacob had a son
1:27 And grant us prophecy and the Book among his descendants
1:31 We gave him the reward for his affliction with us in this world
1:35 In the afterlife, he will also have the reward of the righteous, undiminished
1:41 And Lot when he said to his people, “You are committing indecency.”
1:47 You are committing an immoral act that no one in the world has ever done before you
1:57 And remember Lot when he said to his people, “You will come to Memorization.”
2:03 No one in the world has preceded you with immorality
2:09 Do you come to the men and block the way, and come in your evil club?
2:18 The only answer from his people was that he said, “Bring upon us the punishment of God if you are of the truthful ones.”
2:34 He said, “My Lord, grant me victory over the corrupt people.”
2:41 Do you, O people, attack men in their backs?
2:46 And you cut off travelers with your evil deeds
2:50 This is because, according to what was mentioned about them, they were doing this to the travelers who passed by them
2:58 In your gatherings, you delete those who pass by you and mock them
3:04 The response of Lot's people was nothing but that they said:
3:08 Bring us the punishment of God that will bring us back
3:11 If you are truthful in what you say and accomplished in what you promise
3:18 He said, “My Lord, grant me victory over the corrupt people.”
3:22 And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said:
3:31 They said, "We will destroy the people of this village. Its people were unjust."
3:43 And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news from God about Isaac
3:48 And behind Isaac is Jacob
3:51 God's messengers said to Abraham
3:54 We will destroy the people of this village, the village of Sodom
3:58 Its people were unjust to themselves by disobeying God
4:03 And their denial of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace
4:08 He said that there was Lot in it
4:12 They said, “We know who is in it.”
4:17 We will certainly save him and his family, except his wife, who was among those who died
4:26 Abraham said to the messengers from the angels
4:29 Therein is Lot, and he is not of the wrongdoers
4:33 Rather, he is one of God's messengers
4:35 The apostles said to him
4:37 We know best who are there among the wrongdoers who disbelieve in God
4:42 And Lot was not one of them
4:45 Let us save him and his family from the destruction that is befalling the people of his village
4:50 Except his wife was one of those who left behind
4:53 Who have been preserved for ages and days
4:56 Their ages and lives extended
5:00 She perished from among the people of Lot along with her people
5:06 And when our messengers came to Lot, it was bad for them
5:15 They were upset and fed up, and they said, “Do not be afraid or sad.”
5:24 And do not be sad. We will save you and your family, except your wife. She was one of those who left behind
5:33 Indeed, a calamity has befallen the people of this village
5:40 Punishment from heaven because they were defiantly disobedient
5:48 And when Our messengers came to Lot from the angels
5:53 The angels displeased him by coming to him
5:56 That is because they added it to him, so they treated him with that
6:01 They were fed up with the hospitality
6:03 For fear of what he knows of the evil of his people
6:08 The messengers said to Lot: Do not be afraid for your people to reach us
6:14 And do not be saddened by what we told you, that we will destroy them
6:18 We will save you from torment, and we will save your family with you
6:23 Except your wife, for she will perish among those of her people who perish
6:28 She was one of the rest who lived a long time
6:33 O Lot, we will bring down upon the people of this town a torment from heaven
6:38 Because they were committing disobedience to God and committing immorality
6:45 And We have left from it a clear sign for a people who understand
6:54 We have left what we did to them as a clear example
7:00 There are arguments for people who understand God
7:03 And they reflect on his sermons
7:06 That clear sign is the pardon of their traces and the lessons of their landmarks
7:13 And to Midian, their brother Shuaib, and he said: O people of Abdullah
7:20 He said, “O my people, the servant of God and the man of the Hereafter, and do not spread corruption on earth.”
7:30 Their brother Shuaib was sent to Midian
7:34 He said to them, “O my people, worship God alone and hope that through your worship He will be rewarded on the Last Day.”
7:42 And do not multiply disobedience to God on earth
7:45 But repent to God from it and repent
7:50 So they denied him, and a tremor seized them, and they became crouched in their house
7:59 So the people of Midian Shuaib lied about the message he had given them about God
8:05 Then the trembling of torment seized them
8:08 So they sat in their house, kneeling on top of each other in death
8:14 Aad and Thamud, and their dwellings have become clear to you
8:22 Satan made their deeds seem pleasing to them, and turned them away from the path, and they were discerning
8:32 And remember, O people, Ad and Thamud
8:35 It has become clear to you from their dwellings, their desolation and emptiness
8:40 And our power comes to all of them
8:43 Satan made their disbelief in God good for them, and he returned them by beautifying it for them
8:49 They were aware of their error and admired it
8:54 They think they are right and right, but they are astray
9:01 Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman
9:05 And Moses came to them with clear proofs, but they were arrogant on earth and were not outdone
9:20 And remember, O Muhammad Qarun, Pharaoh and Haman
9:24 And Moses came to all of them with clear evidence from the verses
9:30 So they were too arrogant on earth to believe in the clear evidence from the verses
9:34 And about the followers of Moses, and they were not ahead of themselves, so they would miss us
9:41 Rather, we had power over them
9:45 We both accepted it with permission
9:49 Among them were those whom We sent as a judge against him, and among them were those who were seized by the battle
9:57 Among them were those who were seized by the cry, and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow
10:05 And among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned
10:12 It was not God who wronged them, but they wronged themselves
10:21 So we seized all these nations, O Muhammad, with our torment
10:26 Among them were those against whom We sent a judge, and they were the people of Lot
10:31 Some of them were taken by the trend
10:34 They are Thamud and Media
10:36 And among them are those whom We caused the earth to swallow
10:39 This means Qarun
10:41 Some of them drowned us
10:44 They are the people of Noah, Tharaon, and others
10:47 God would not destroy these nations because of the sins of others
10:52 He wrongs them by destroying them undeservedly
10:57 Rather, He destroyed them because of their sins and disbelief in their Lord
11:01 But they were wronging themselves by disposing of the blessings of their Lord
11:06 And they change their loyalty and worship other than Him
11:12 The example of those who have taken guardians other than God is like a spider
11:21 Like a spider that has taken up a home
11:26 The weakest of houses is the house of a spider
11:32 If only they knew
11:36 Like those who take gods and idols as guardians instead of God
11:41 They hope for its victory and benefit
11:44 Like a spider in its weakness and lack of self-deception
11:49 She made a home for herself to be her own
11:53 He was of no use to her when she needed him
11:57 So are these polytheists
12:00 He was of no use to them when God’s command came down upon them and His wrath fell upon them
12:05 Their guardians are those whom they have taken as something other than God
12:10 The weakest of houses is the house of a spider
12:13 If only those who were taken as guardians other than God
12:18 They know that it is their guardians whom they have taken instead of God
12:22 In their lack of singing about them
12:25 Like a spider's web singing about her
12:28 But they don't know that
12:30 They think that they will benefit them
12:35 God knows what they call upon other than Him
12:42 He is the Mighty, the Wise
12:45 We give these examples to people
12:51 Only those with knowledge understand it
12:57 God knows what He will call upon those nations whom We have destroyed other than Him
13:05 God Almighty will take revenge on those who disbelieve in him
13:08 The wise man is in his management of his creation
13:12 These are proverbs, similarities, and analogues
13:15 We represent it, resemble it, and demonstrate it to people
13:19 It is not possible that he was afflicted with these proverbs that we give to people, including what is right and true, as I have given him as examples
13:29 Except those who know God and His signs
13:33 God created the heavens and the earth with truth
13:38 Indeed, in that is a sign for believers
13:45 God, O Muhammad, created the heavens and the earth alone by creating them
13:52 Indeed, in his character, this is a proof for whoever believes in the proofs if he sees them
13:57 And the signs when he sees them
14:15 Read what has been revealed to you from this Qur’an
14:19 Perform the prayer that God has imposed on you within its limits
14:25 Prayer forbids indecency and evil
14:29 And God’s remembrance of you is better than your remembrance of Him
14:33 And God knows what you people do in your prayers
14:38 From establishing its boundaries and abandoning that
14:41 And other matters for you
14:43 He will reward you for that
14:46 Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
