0:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:22 “Verily we have honoured the Children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment.” (17:70)

0:25 “Verily we have honoured the Children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment.” (17:70)

0:29 And We provided for them.

0:30 And We provided for them from the good things.

0:34 And We favored them over many of those whom We created with a distinct preference.

0:49 And by subjecting the rest of creation to them.

1:21 “On the day when We shall summon all men with their record, whoso is given his book in his right hand - such will read their book and they will not be wronged a shred.” (17:71)

1:30 So those will read their record.

1:44 Which they used to follow in the worldly life.

1:47 So whoever is given the record of his deeds in his right hand.

1:56 And Allah will not wrong them in the recompense for their deeds by as much as a thread.

2:00 Which is the thin membrane found in the cleft of a date pit.

2:04 “Whoso is blind here will be blind in the Hereafter, and yet further from the road.” (17:72)

2:10 And further astray in path.

2:13 And whoever is in this world blind.

2:17 To the proofs of Allah regarding His being the One.

2:20 In creating and managing them.

2:22 He is, regarding the matter of the Hereafter, which he has not seen.

2:25 And has not witnessed, even more blind.

2:27 And further astray in path than he is regarding the matter of the world.

2:30 Which he has already witnessed and seen.

2:33 “And they indeed strove hard to beguile thee (Muhammad) away from that wherewith We have inspired thee, that thou shouldst invent other than it against Us; and then would they have accepted thee as a friend.” (17:73)

2:39 So that you might fabricate against Us something else.

2:42 And then they would have taken you as a friend.

2:46 Allah mentions that the polytheists.

2:49 Nearly tempted the Prophet, peace be upon him.

2:53 Away from what Allah had revealed to him.

2:55 So that he would act upon something else.

2:57 And that is the fabrication against Allah.

3:00 And if you had done what they invited you to of temptation.

3:03 They would have then taken you as a friend for themselves.

3:06 And you would have been for them, and they for you, allies.

3:10 And had We not strengthened you, you would have nearly inclined toward them a little.

3:20 And had We not strengthened you, O Muhammad.

3:24 By protecting you from the temptation these polytheists.

3:27 Invited you to.

3:30 You would have nearly leaned toward them.

3:32 And felt at ease with them a little.

3:35 And that is what the Prophet, peace be upon him, had contemplated.

3:39 Regarding doing some of what they had asked him to do.

3:43 “Then had we made thee taste a double (punishment) of living and a double (punishment) of dying, then hadst thou found no helper against Us.” (17:75)

3:49 “Then had we made thee taste a double (punishment) of living and a double (punishment) of dying, then hadst thou found no helper against Us.” (17:75)

3:57 If you had inclined toward these polytheists, O Muhammad.

4:01 Then We would have made you taste double the punishment of life and double the punishment of death.

4:06 Then you would not find for yourself, O Muhammad, a helper to aid you against Us.

4:11 And save you from the punishment you received from Us.

4:15 “And they indeed wished to scare thee from the land that they might drive thee forth from thence, and then they would have stayed (there) but a little after thee.” (17:76)

4:24 “And they indeed wished to scare thee from the land that they might drive thee forth from thence, and then they would have stayed (there) but a little after thee.” (17:76)

4:29 And indeed, these people nearly provoked you from the land where you are, to drive you out of it.

4:38 And if they had driven you out of it, they would not have remained after you therein except for a little while, until I destroyed them with an immediate punishment.

4:46 The way of those whom We sent before you of Our messengers.

4:53 “(Such was Our) method in the case of those whom We sent before thee (to mankind), and thou wilt not find for Our method aught of power to change.” (17:77)

4:59 If they had driven you out, they would not have remained after you except for a little while.

5:05 And We would have destroyed them with a punishment, according to Our way with those whom We sent before you of Our messengers.

5:12 For We have always done so with nations when they drove their messengers out from among them.

5:18 And you will not find any change in Our way from what it has been.

5:23 “Establish worship at the going down of the sun until the dark of night, and (the recital of) the Qur'an at dawn. Lo! (the recital of) the Qur'an at dawn is ever witnessed.” (17:78)

5:37 Establish the prayer from the sun's decline until the approach of the night.

5:43 And establish what you recite in the dawn prayer, for what you recite in the dawn prayer from the Qur'an is witnessed.

5:52 It is witnessed by the angels of the night and the angels of the day.

5:56 And the prayer which the Prophet, peace be upon him, was commanded to establish at the sun's decline.

6:03 Is the Dhuhr and 'Asr prayer.

6:05 And the prayer at the darkness of the night is the Maghrib prayer.

6:10 “And some part of the night awake for it, a largess for thee. It may be that thy Lord will raise thee to a praised estate.” (17:79)

6:28 And from the night, stay awake after a sleep, O Muhammad, with the Qur'an, as an extra duty beyond the obligations We have imposed upon you.

6:37 Exclusively for you, not your Ummah, and that is the night prayer (Tahajjud).

6:41 Perhaps your Lord will raise you on the Day of Resurrection to a station where you will be praised and envied.

6:48 “And say: My Lord! Cause me to come in with a firm incoming and to go out with a firm outgoing. And give me from Thy presence a sustaining Power.” (17:80)

7:05 And say, O Muhammad, "My Lord, cause me to enter a truthful entrance and cause me to exit a truthful exit."

7:15 And grant me from You a supporting authority over the people of the city whose inhabitants drove me out, and over everyone who is like them.

7:24 And if one is given that, he has undoubtedly been given a clear proof.

7:30 “And say: Truth hath come and falsehood hath vanished away. Lo! falsehood is ever bound to vanish.” (17:81)

7:41 And say, O Muhammad, to these polytheists, "The truth has come," which is everything in which there is pleasure and obedience to Allah.

7:51 "And falsehood has departed," which is everything in which there is no pleasure or obedience to Allah; indeed, falsehood is ever bound to depart.

8:01 “And We reveal of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for believers though it increase the evil-doers in naught save ruin.” (17:82)

8:19 And We send down to you, O Muhammad, from the Qur'an that which is a healing, by which one is healed from ignorance and misguidance.

8:27 And a mercy for the believers, so they permit its lawful and forbid its unlawful, and by that, He admits them to Paradise, and it is a mercy for them.

8:37 And this Qur'an does not increase the disbelievers in it except in ruin.

8:44 “And when We make life pleasant unto man, he turneth away and is averse; and when ill toucheth him he is in despair.” (17:83)

8:59 And when We bestow favor upon man, and We save him from distress, he turns away from Our remembrance and distances himself from Us.

9:08 And when evil and hardship touch him, he is despairing of relief and comfort.

9:14 “Say: Each one doth according to his rule of conduct, and thy Lord is Best Aware of him whose way is right.” (17:84)

9:25 Say, O Muhammad, to the people, "Everyone acts according to his own way and method, and your Lord is most knowing of who is better guided in path to the truth than others."

9:38 “They are asking thee concerning the Spirit. Say: The Spirit is by command of my Lord, and of knowledge ye have been vouchsafed but little.” (17:85)

9:53 And the disbelievers in Allah from the People of the Book ask you about the soul, what it is. Say to them:

10:00 The soul is from the matter which no one knows except Allah, apart from you.

10:05 And you, and all people, have not been given of knowledge except a little of the much that Allah knows.

10:14 “And if We willed We could withdraw that which We have revealed unto thee, then wouldst thou find no guardian for thee against Us in respect thereof.” (17:86)

10:30 And if We willed, We would surely take away that which We have revealed to you of the knowledge of this Qur'an, so you would not know it.

10:39 Then you would not find for yourself, regarding what We do to you of that, a guardian to stand for you and prevent Us from doing that to you.

10:47 “(It is naught) save mercy from thy Lord. Lo! His kindness unto thee was ever great.” (17:87)

10:58 And if We willed, We would surely take away, O Muhammad, that which We have revealed to you, but He does not will that.

11:07 As a mercy from your Lord and a favor from Him upon you; indeed, His favor upon you has been great.

11:14 By choosing you for His message and sending down His Book to you.

11:20 “Say: Verily, though mankind and the jinn should assemble to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof though they were helpers one of another.” (17:88)

11:47 Say, O Muhammad, to those who said to you, "We will produce the like of this Qur'an."

11:55 If mankind and the jinn gathered to produce the like of it, they would never produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants and supporters.

12:06 “And verily We have displayed for mankind in this Qur'an all kind of similitudes, but most of mankind refuse aught save disbelief.” (17:89)

12:24 And We have explained to the people in this Qur'an every kind of example, using all of that as an argument against them and a reminder to them of the truth so that they might follow it, but most people refused except to deny the truth and reject the proofs and evidences of Allah.

12:44 “And they say: We will not put faith in thee till thou cause a spring to gush forth from the earth for us;” (17:90)

12:55 And the polytheists in Allah said, "We will not believe you until you make a spring gush forth for us from this land of ours."

13:05 “Or thou have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and cause rivers to gush forth therein abundantly;” (17:91)

13:20 "Or you have a garden of date palms and grapes, and you make rivers gush forth through them in abundance."

13:31 “Or thou cause the heaven to fall upon us piecemeal, as thou hast pretended, or bring Allah and the angels as a warrant;” (17:92)

13:47 "Or you cause the sky to fall upon us in pieces, or you bring Allah, O Muhammad, and the angels before us face to face, so we may confront them and witness them directly."

14:01 “Or thou have a house of gold; or thou ascend up into heaven, and even then we will put no faith in thine ascension till thou bring down for us a book that we can read. Say (O Muhammad): My Lord be Glorified! Am I aught save a mortal messenger?” (17:93)

14:27 "Or you have, O Muhammad, a house of gold, or you ascend into the sky, and we will not believe in your ascension until you bring down to us a book that we may read, in which is our command to follow you and believe in you."

14:46 Say, O Muhammad, to these polytheists, in exaltation of Allah above what they describe Him with, "Am I anything but a human messenger? How could I be able to do what you asked of me? I am only a messenger conveying to you what I was sent with, and what you asked me to do is in the hand of Allah; no one is capable of that except Him."

15:17 “And naught prevented mankind from believing when the guidance came unto them save that they said: Hath Allah sent a mortal as (His) messenger?” (17:94)

15:31 And nothing prevented the polytheists of your people, O Muhammad, from believing in Allah when the clear evidence came to them from Allah regarding the truth of what you invite them to, except their saying, out of their ignorance, "Has Allah sent a human as a messenger?"

16:01 Say, O Muhammad, to these who refused to believe in you, "If there were, O people, angels walking upon the earth, secure, We would have sent down to them from the heaven an angel as a messenger," for angels are only seen by their own kind, and a messenger is only sent to humans from among themselves.

16:33 Say, O Muhammad, to those who say, "Has Allah sent a human as a messenger?" "Sufficient is Allah as a witness between me and you, for He is the best Witness and Judge; indeed, Allah is, regarding His servants, All-Aware and All-Knowing of their affairs and deeds."

17:00 All-Seeing of their management and their conduct in whatever He wills, and He will recompense all of them for what they have sent forth when they arrive before Him.

17:31 “And he whom Allah guideth, he is led aright; while, as for him whom He sendeth astray, for them thou wilt find no protecting friends beside Him, and We shall assemble them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf; their habitation will be hell; whenever it abateth, We increase the flame for them.” (17:97)

18:02 When Allah intends their punishment, and We gather them at the station of the Resurrection after their separation in the graves, upon their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf, and their destination is Hell; whenever it subsides and calms, We increase for these disbelievers the blazing fire, by fueling the fire upon them and intensifying it within them.

18:28 That is their recompense because they disbelieved in Our signs and said, "When we are bones and crumbled remains, will we indeed be resurrected as a new creation?"

18:49 This which We have described of Our action on the Day of Resurrection toward these polytheists is their reward for their disbelief in the world in Our signs.

18:58 And for their saying, when they were commanded to believe in the Resurrection, "When we are decayed bones and have become dust, shall we be resurrected after that as a new creation?"
