0:00 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:05 Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08 It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:12 Surah Yunus
0:18 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:23 If God hastened evil for people just as they hasten good, it would have been fulfilled for them
0:32 To fulfill their term
0:35 So we warn those who do not hope to meet Us in their villages to go blind
0:45 Even if God hastens for people to answer their prayers regarding evil
0:50 This is harmful to their lives or property
0:54 Such as his hastening to do good for them by answering them if they called him for it
0:59 They would have perished and death would hastened for them
1:02 So we call upon those who do not fear our punishment and are not certain of the resurrection or the resurrection
1:08 In their rebellion and arrogance they hesitate
1:13 If harm befalls a person, he calls us on his side, sitting, or standing
1:30 When We removed his harm from him, he passed away as if he had not called us to the harm that befell him
1:43 Likewise, what they used to do has been made pleasing to the extravagant
1:51 If a person is afflicted with hardship and effort
1:55 He asked us for help in revealing this to him
1:58 Lying on his side, sitting or standing
2:02 In the condition he is in when that harm befalls him
2:07 When we relieved him of the stress that befell him
2:10 Continue in the first way before harm befalls him
2:15 He forgot or forgot about the effort and tribulation he had undergone
2:20 And he left thanks to his Lord who released him
2:24 It was also adorned for this person to continue his disbelief after God revealed him
2:29 Likewise, it is adorned for those who lie to God and His prophets to excess
2:35 What they were doing was disobeying God and associating with Him
2:54 We have destroyed the nations that rejected God’s messengers before you, O polytheists
3:01 When they committed polytheism and disobeyed God’s command and prohibition
3:05 Their messengers came to them from God with signs and arguments
3:10 Which shows their daughters with clear evidence
3:14 Their messengers came to them with clear proofs
3:17 And they would not have believed. Thus We recompense the criminal people
3:23 Which shows the sincerity of the one who brought it
3:27 These nations would not have believed and believed their messengers
3:32 And just as We destroyed these centuries before you, O polytheists
3:37 This is what they did to you, so I destroyed you for your polytheism with your Lord
3:42 And by denying your Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace
3:47 By wronging yourselves
3:54 Caliphs on earth after them, so that we may see how you act
4:08 Then We made you, O people, successors after these centuries
4:13 So that your Lord may see where your deeds compare to the deeds of those nations who perished before you
4:19 You deserve the punishment they deserve
4:23 Or do you differ from their path and believe in God and His Messenger?
4:27 And you acknowledge the resurrection after death
4:30 So you deserve a great reward from your Lord
4:35 And when Our clear verses are recited to them
4:40 Those who do not hope to meet us said
4:45 Those who do not hope to meet us said, “Repent a Qur’an other than this or change it.”
4:55 Say what I have to change on my own
5:02 I follow only what is revealed to me
5:07 I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of a great day
5:15 And if he reads to these polytheists the verses of the Book of God
5:20 What We have revealed to you, O Muhammad, is clear
5:24 Those who do not fear our punishment and are not certain of the return to us said
5:30 Bring a Qur’an other than this or something else
5:34 Tell them, O Muhammad, I cannot replace it with my own
5:40 What I follow in everything I command you, O people, and prohibit you from
5:46 Except what He sends down to my Lord
5:49 I fear God if I disobey His command and change the provisions of His Book
5:55 The torment of a great and terrifying day
6:01 By God, I did not recite it to you, nor did He make it known to you
6:11 I stayed with you for a lifetime before that
6:17 Do you not understand?
6:21 Tell them, Muhammad
6:23 If God had willed, I would not have recited this Qur’an to you, people
6:28 I do not inform you of it
6:30 I stayed with you for forty years before I recited it to you
6:36 Do you not understand that if I were an impersonator I would not have any say?
6:41 I had impersonated him in my younger days
6:45 And before the time that I recited to you
6:49 Who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against God or denies His signs?
6:58 It does not prosper criminals
7:05 Say, O Muhammad, to these polytheists
7:09 That is, a creation more transgressing than one who fabricates a lie against God
7:14 Or he lied about his proofs, his messengers, and the verses of his book
7:19 What you added me to is not more surprising than your lying to your Lord
7:24 Those who committed disbelief in this world will not succeed on the Day of Resurrection when they meet their Lord
7:31 They do not achieve success
7:35 They worship instead of God that which neither harms them nor benefits them
7:46 They say: These are our intercessors with God
8:01 Say, “Do you inform God of what He does not know in the heavens or on earth?”
8:08 Glory be to Him, Most High above what they associate with Him
8:17 These polytheists worship Muhammad instead of God
8:21 That which does not harm them at all or benefit them in this world or in the hereafter
8:27 They say that they worshiped her in hope of her intercession with God
8:33 Tell them, “Do you inform God of what is not in the heavens or on earth?”
8:40 This is because the gods do not intercede for them with God in the heavens or on earth
8:46 The polytheists claimed that it would intercede for them with God
8:51 Rather, God knows that that is contrary to what you say and that it does not intercede for anyone
8:58 His purity to God and his superiority to what these polytheists do by slandering him with lies
9:07 People were only one nation, but they differed
9:15 Had it not been for a word that had preceded from your Lord, it would have been decided between them concerning that in which they differed
9:26 People were only people of one religion and one religion
9:32 They differed in their religion, and their paths separated in that regard
9:37 Had it not been that God had previously stated that He would not destroy a people except after their time had passed
9:44 It was decided between them that the people of falsehood among them would perish and the people of truth would be saved
9:52 And they say, “If only a sign had been sent down to him from his Lord.” So say, “The unseen belongs to God.” So wait. Indeed, I am with you among those who wait.
10:15 These polytheists say: Should I not send down knowledge and evidence to Muhammad by which we can know that Muhammad is right in what he says?
10:27 So say, O Muhammad, no one knows about doing that except him, because no one knows the secret and hidden things except God
10:38 So wait, O people, for God’s judgment among us by hastening His punishment for the one among us who is negligent
10:45 And his rightful manifestation is that I am with you among those who are waiting for that
10:52 And when We make people taste mercy after a hardship that has afflicted them, they will certainly plot against Our signs
11:12 Say, “God is quicker to plot. Indeed, Our messengers write down what you plot.”
11:23 And when We provide the polytheists with relief after distress, then they will mock and deny Our verses
11:31 Say to these polytheists, O Muhammad, may God hasten your attack, lure, and punishment from you
11:41 Our guardians whom we send to you, O people, will write down what you plot in Our verses
11:50 It is He who guides you on land and sea, even when you are in ships and sailing with a good wind
12:10 And they rejoiced because a stormy wind came and waves came to them from everywhere
12:28 And they thought that they were surrounded. They called on God, sincerely in religion for Him, because if you came to us from this, we will certainly be among those who are thankful.
13:00 Even when you are in ships and people are carrying them with a good wind on the sea, and the ship’s passengers rejoice in the good wind with which they are traveling.
13:12 The waves came from everywhere and they thought that destruction had surrounded them. They prayed most sincerely to God there, not to their idols and gods.
13:24 Because if you come to us from this hardship, we will be among those who are thankful to you for your blessings with our sincerity in worshiping you rather than the gods.
13:56 Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you did
14:09 When God saved those who thought that they had been surrounded by the sea, they broke their promise to God and transgressed on earth.
14:20 They do not stray into anything other than what God has permitted for them, such as disbelief and acting in disobedience
14:28 O people, your aggression that you commit is against yourselves
14:34 This is what you are communicating about in the immediate future of your world
14:40 Then to us after that is your fate
14:44 We will inform you on the Day of Resurrection of what you did in this world of disobedience to God
14:50 For your previous deeds
14:55 It is only like the life of this world as if We sent it down from heaven
15:11 So the plants of the earth became mixed with it, which is what people and livestock eat
15:21 Even when the earth is taken, it is adorned and beautified
15:33 Its people thought they were capable of overcoming it. Our command came to it, day or night
15:46 So We made it a harvest as if it had not been sung yesterday. Thus We detail the verses for those who ponder
16:00 It is just like what you brag about in this world and boast about its adornments and wealth
16:09 With all the annoyance and turmoil he has been entrusted with
16:11 Like rain we sent from the sky to the earth
16:17 With that rain, various types of plants grew, mixing with each other
16:23 Even when the beauty and splendor of the earth appears and is adorned
16:29 The people of the earth thought that they were capable of what it produced
16:33 Our decree came upon the earth to fill it with plants
16:37 Either day or night
16:41 So We made what was on it cut off from its roots
16:45 As if those crops and plants were not sprouting and standing on the ground before that yesterday
16:53 As we have explained to you, people, it is like the world
16:57 We also explain our arguments and evidence to those who think and consider
17:05 God calls to the abode of peace
17:09 And He guides whom He wills
17:13 He guides whomever He wills to a straight path
17:23 O people, do not seek the world and its adornments
17:27 Its fate is to extinction and extinction
17:31 But he asked for the remaining afterlife
17:35 God is calling you to His home
17:39 These are His gardens that He prepared for His saints
17:43 Who created him and guides him to the straight path
17:47 It is Islam that made him a means to achieve his satisfaction
17:55 Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
