0:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:22 “Blessed is He Who hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may be a warner to the peoples.” (25:1)

0:32 Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion—separating truth from falsehood—

0:36 revelation after revelation,

0:38 and surah after surah,

0:40 upon His servant Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him),

0:44 so that Muhammad may be a warner to all jinn and mankind,

0:48 warning them of His punishment and frightening them with His torment;

0:53 He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth,

0:57 and who has not taken a son,

1:00 and who has not taken a son,

1:02 and who has no partner in His dominion,

1:07 and who created all things,

1:10 and who created all things,

1:12 determining each with precise measure;

1:17 He who possesses supreme authority over the heavens and the earth,

1:21 His command and decree being executed across them all,

1:24 and who has not taken a son—

1:26 thus whoever ascribes a son to Him has lied and fabricated against his Lord—

1:31 and Allah has no partner in His kingdom and sovereignty

1:36 that could ever be worthy of worship besides Him;

1:39 and He created all things,

1:41 fashioning everything He created with perfect proportions

1:43 and preparing each for its proper purpose,

1:45 so there is no flaw in it nor any disparity.

1:55 [They worship those who create] nothing, while they themselves are created,

2:00 “Yet they choose beside Him other gods who create naught but are themselves created, and possess not hurt nor profit for themselves, and possess not death nor life, nor power to raise the dead.” (25:3)

2:13 and possess no power over death...

2:23 And these polytheists have taken idols besides Allah that create nothing, while they themselves are created, possessing no power to bring benefit to themselves or avert harm from themselves, nor controlling death, life, or resurrection; thus they abandoned the worship of the Creator of all things, the Master of harm and benefit, in whose Hand are death, life, and the resurrection.

2:54 ﴿And those who disbelieve say, "This is nothing but a lie he fabricated, and another people helped him with it." Thus they have brought forth injustice and falsehood.﴾

3:12 And these disbelievers in Allah said, "This Qur'an that Muhammad brought us is nothing but a lie and slander that we invent, and Jews helped Muhammad with this fabrication." Thus those who uttered this statement committed utter injustice and pure falsehood.

3:34 “And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening.” (25:5)

3:45 And these polytheists said, "This which Muhammad brought us is merely tales of the ancients, which they used to write down in their books;

3:56 Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had them transcribed from the Jews, and these legends are recited to him morning and evening."

4:06 “Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He who knoweth the secret of the heavens and the earth hath revealed it. Lo! He ever is Forgiving, Merciful.” (25:6)

4:19 Say, O Muhammad, to these deniers: It is the ultimate truth, sent down by the Lord who knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth,

4:29 nothing being hidden from Him, and He will recompense them for what their hearts harbor. Indeed, He has ever been forgiving toward His creation and Merciful.

4:40 ﴿And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was an angel not sent down to him to be a warner with him?"﴾

4:59 And the polytheists said, "What kind of messenger is this who claims that Allah sent him to us, yet he eats food as we eat and walks in our markets as we walk?

5:12 Why was an angel not sent down to him to be a warner alongside him to the people, confirming what he says?"

5:21 “Or (why is not) treasure thrown down unto him, or why hath he not a paradise from whence to eat? And the evil-doers say: Ye are but following a man bewitched.” (25:8)

5:39 "Or why is a treasure of silver or gold not cast down to him, so he would not need to labor in search of a livelihood, or why does he not have a garden from which he eats?"

5:51 And the polytheists said, "You, O people, are following none but a bewitched man."

5:59 ﴿Look how they strike similitudes for you! So they have gone astray and cannot find a way.﴾

6:09 Consider, O Muhammad, these polytheists who made such comparisons about you by saying, "He is bewitched."

6:17 Thus they strayed from the straight path and lost the way of guidance, so they will find no path to the truth except through that with which I have sent you.

6:29 “Blessed is He Who, if He will, will assign thee better than (all) that - Gardens underneath which rivers flow - and will assign thee mansions.” (25:10)

7:00 So He granted him better than what they said, saying: Gardens beneath whose trees rivers flow, and He will grant you built and lofty palaces.

7:13 “Nay, but they deny (the coming of) the Hour, and for those who deny (the coming of) the Hour We have prepared a flame.” (25:11)

7:23 These polytheists did not lie out of disbelief merely because you eat food and walk in the markets,

7:30 but rather because they do not believe in the Hereafter;

7:34 and We have prepared for those who deny Allah's resurrection of the dead a blazing and raging Fire.

7:43 “When it seeth them from afar, they hear the crackling and the roar thereof.” (25:12)

7:57 When this Fire, which We prepared for these deniers, sees their persons from a distant place, it will rage violently against them;

8:07 that is, it will boil and surge, and they will hear its roaring gasps.

8:13 “And when they are flung into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they pray for destruction there.” (25:13)

8:23 And when these deniers of the Hour are thrown into a narrow place in the Fire,

8:29 their hands bound to their necks in shackles,

8:33 these people will cry out in deep remorse over their turning away from obedience to Allah in the worldly life

8:39 and from believing in what the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) brought them,

8:45 until they fully deserved the punishment.

8:48 “Pray not that day for one destruction, but pray for many destructions!” (25:14)

8:58 Call not today, O polytheists, for a single destruction,

9:03 but call for much destruction!

9:07 “Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey's end.” (25:15)

9:15 “Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey's end.” (25:15)

9:22 Say, O Muhammad, to these deniers of the Hour:

9:27 "Is this Fire better, or the Garden of Eternity whose bliss is everlasting and never perishes,

9:33 which was promised to those who feared Him in the world by obeying His commands and prohibitions?"

9:39 The Garden of Eternity was a reward for the righteous on account of their deeds performed for Allah in the worldly life through His obedience,

9:46 and an eternal destination to which the righteous shall return in the Hereafter.

9:52 “Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled.” (25:16)

9:59 “Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled.” (25:16)

10:05 For these righteous ones in the Garden of Eternity shall be whatever they desire,

10:11 of all that souls covet and eyes delight in,

10:15 abiding therein forever.

10:17 And Allah's granting the believers the Garden of Eternity was

10:21 a promise Allah pledged to them in return for their obedience to Him in the worldly life,

10:26 and for their asking Him for it when they prayed.

10:30 “Our Lord! And give us that which Thou hast promised to us by Thy messengers. Confound us not upon the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Thou breakest not the tryst.” (3:194)

10:35 “And on the day when He will assemble them and that which they worship instead of Allah and will say: Was it ye who misled these my slaves or did they (themselves) wander from the way?” (25:17)

10:40 ﴿And He will say, "Was it you who misled these servants of Mine, or did they stray from the path?"﴾

10:49 "Was it these, or did they themselves stray from the path?"

10:55 And on the Day We gather these deniers alongside whatever they used to worship besides Allah,

11:00 Allah will say to them, "Was it you who diverted My servants from the path of guidance

11:06 and called them to error,

11:08 or was it My servants who strayed from the path of righteousness and truth

11:12 and took the path of destruction?"

11:15 “They will say: Be Thou Glorified! it was not for us to choose any protecting friends beside thee; but Thou didst give them and their fathers ease till they forgot the warning and became lost folk.” (25:18)

11:20 “They will say: Be Thou Glorified! it was not for us to choose any protecting friends beside thee; but Thou didst give them and their fathers ease till they forgot the warning and became lost folk.” (25:18)

11:33 ﴿"But You allowed them and their fathers enjoyment..."﴾

11:41 “They will say: Be Thou Glorified! it was not for us to choose any protecting friends beside thee; but Thou didst give them and their fathers ease till they forgot the warning and became lost folk.” (25:18)

11:48 The angels will say:

11:50 "Exalted are You, O our Lord, in supreme purity!

11:52 We declare our innocence from what these polytheists ascribed to You!

11:57 “They will say: Be Thou Glorified! it was not for us to choose any protecting friends beside thee; but Thou didst give them and their fathers ease till they forgot the warning and became lost folk.” (25:18)

12:03 “They will say: Be Thou Glorified. Thou (alone) art our Guardian, not them! Nay, but they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them.” (34:41)

12:05 But You granted them wealth, O our Lord, in the worldly life, and sound health,

12:11 until they forgot the Remembrance and became a ruined people,

12:15 overcome by wretchedness and abandonment."

12:18 “Thus they will give you the lie regarding what ye say, then ye can neither avert (the doom) nor obtain help. And whoso among you doeth wrong, We shall make him taste great torment.” (25:19)

12:35 They have denied you, O disbelievers,

12:39 those whom you claimed led you astray

12:41 and called you to worship them, regarding what you say;

12:45 so these disbelievers are unable

12:48 to avert Allah's punishment from themselves when it descends upon them,

12:52 nor can they secure any help against Allah when He punishes and chastises them.

12:56 And whoever among you, O believers, associates partners with Allah and thus wrongs himself,

13:02 We shall make him taste a great punishment.

13:07 “We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer.” (25:20)

13:10 "...except that they certainly ate food and walked in the markets..."

13:17 “We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer.” (25:20)

13:23 ﴿And your Lord is ever Seeing.﴾

13:27 And why do these objectors deny, O Muhammad,

13:31 “And they say: What aileth this messenger (of Allah) that he eateth food and walketh in the markets? Why is not an angel sent down unto him, to be a warner with him.” (25:7)

13:36 when they already know that those messengers We sent before you—

13:40 “We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer.” (25:20)

13:45 so they have no valid argument against you in what they claimed—

13:49 "And We tested some of you with others, O humanity."

13:53 We made this one a prophet, singling him out with the Message,

13:57 and that one a king, favoring him with worldly wealth,

14:01 and this one poor, withholding worldly wealth from him,

14:05 in order to test the poor person regarding his patience over what he was deprived of compared to what was given to the rich,

14:10 and the king regarding his patience over the honor granted to the Messenger.

14:15 And to test you, O humanity, examining your obedience to your Lord

14:20 and your response to His Messenger;

14:23 and your Lord, O Muhammad, is All-Seeing of who despairs and who remains patient

14:27 under the trials through which he is tested.
