In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:05
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08
It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:14
Surat Al-Ma'idah
0:17
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:22
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and Christians as allies
0:31
Some of them are guardians of each other
0:36
And whoever of you befriends them is one of them
0:43
God does not guide unjust people
0:51
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and Christians as supporters and allies against people of faith in God
0:59
Some of the Jews support each other against the believers and have one hand against all of them
1:06
Christians are also supporters of one another against those who oppose their religion
1:12
So be you also friends of one another
1:17
The Jew and the Christian have war, just as they have war with you
1:22
Whoever supports the Jews and Christians rather than the believers is one of the people of their religion and religion
1:29
God does not help those who place guardianship in the wrong place
1:34
So the Jews and Christians, despite their enmity against God and His Messenger
1:40
Then you will see those in whose hearts is a disease hastening to say:
1:49
They say we are afraid that a disaster will happen to us
1:56
Perhaps God will bring about conquest or a command from Him
2:03
They become regretful about what they have captured within themselves
2:13
So you see, O Muhammad, those in whose hearts there is doubt of faith in your prophecy
2:19
They are hastening to befriend and associate with Jews and Christians
2:25
These hypocrites say
2:28
We are quick to befriend these Jews and Christians
2:33
For fear of a circle revolving around us from our enemy
2:37
We need to support them, so we support them for that
2:42
Perhaps God will bring about justice, including the conquest of Mecca
2:47
Because that was a great decree of God
2:51
Or he comes by order of his own
2:54
He guides the believers against the unbelievers, including Jews, Christians, and other infidels
3:01
Then these hypocrites become regretful of the affection they have captured within themselves for the Jews and Christians
3:10
And those who believe say, Are these those who swear by God?
3:19
Are these those who swore to God with the utmost of their faith that they would be with you?
3:28
Their work was frustrated and they became losers
3:35
And those who believe say, “Are these those who swore to us by God with the strength of their oaths a lie? Indeed, they have ignorant of us.”
3:44
Their deeds that they did were in vain and had no reward or reward
3:51
These hypocrites have become entangled in their purchase of this world with the afterlife
3:57
Their deal failed and they perished
4:01
O you who have believed, whoever among you turns away from his religion, God will bring a people
4:12
God will bring a people whom He loves and who love Him, humble toward the believers and dear to the disbelievers
4:27
They are dear to the unbelievers. They strive in the cause of God and do not fear if they come
4:37
That is the bounty of God. He gives it to whomever He wills, and God is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing
4:49
O you who have believed God and His Messenger
4:53
Who among you turns away from his religion and changes it and changes it by entering into disbelief?
4:59
Nothing will harm God
5:02
God will bring people whom He loves and who love Him instead of them
5:08
God loves them and they love God
5:11
Serving the believers, merciful to them
5:15
They strive to fight the enemies of God in the manner that He has permitted them to do
5:21
And they do not fear anyone in God
5:24
That is the grace of God that He bestowed upon them
5:29
God is generous with His grace to whomever is generous to Him
5:33
He knows the location of His goodness and giving
5:37
He only gives it to those who deserve it
5:41
Your guardian is only Allah and His Messenger and those who believe
5:48
And those who believe are those who perform prayer and pay zakat while bowing
5:59
O believers, you have no helper except Allah and His Messenger
6:04
And the believers who perform prayer
6:07
And they pay zakat while bowing
6:11
And whoever takes care of God and His Messenger and those who believe, then Hezbollah will be the victors
6:24
And whoever takes care of Allah and His Messenger and those who believe
6:28
The supporters of God have control over those who are hostile to them and oppose them
6:35
O you who have believed, do not take those who took your religion as mockery and play
6:44
Do not take as allies those who took your religion in mockery and play among those who were given the Scripture before you and the disbelievers
6:59
And fear God if you are believers
7:07
O you who have believed God and His Messenger
7:10
Do not take those who took your religion as mockery and play among those who were given the Book before you
7:18
The adoption of these Jews as their religion was a mockery and a joke
7:23
One of them was showing the believers faith while he remained in disbelief
7:30
Then he returns to disbelief after a short period of time
7:34
By showing this verbally
7:37
They play with religion and mock it from the Jews, Christians, and polytheists who worship idols
7:45
Do not take them as supporters or brothers
7:49
And fear God if you believe in God
7:52
And you believe him in spite of his threats and in spite of his disobedience
7:57
And when you call to prayer, they treat it as mockery and play
8:05
That is because they are people who do not understand
8:12
And when the muezzin calls you, O believers, to prayer
8:17
These infidels, including Jews, Christians, and polytheists, ridiculed your invitation to it
8:24
And they played from that
8:26
What they do they do out of ignorance of their Lord
8:31
And they do not understand what they have in their answer if they answer the prayer
8:37
If they understood, those of them who did that would not have any punishment from God for what they did
8:44
Say, O People of the Book, do you take revenge on us unless we believe in God?
8:57
And what was revealed to us, and what was revealed before, and most of you are disobedient
9:12
Say, O Muhammad, to the People of the Book, the Jews and Christians
9:16
O People of the Book, do you hate us when you mock our religion?
9:23
Unless we believe and acknowledge God, then we are united
9:27
And in what was revealed to us from God in the Book
9:31
And the books sent down to God’s prophets
9:35
Otherwise, most of you are disobeying God’s command
9:39
Out of obedience to him
9:42
Say, “Shall I inform you of any good reward from God?”
9:51
Whoever God curses and becomes angry with, He turns them into apes and pigs
10:03
And he worshiped the tyrant
10:06
Those are in a worse position and more astray from the righteousness of the righteous
10:16
Say, O Muhammad, to these people, shall I inform you, O people of the Book?
10:22
Give good tidings of the reward for what you take revenge on us for our faith in God and what has been revealed to us
10:29
Whoever God distances and crushes from His mercy and anger against
10:34
He made mutants of them into monkeys and pigs
10:38
Anger from him towards them and anger from the servant of the tyrant
10:44
These people have an evil place in this world and the hereafter with God
10:49
Among those whom you resent, O community of Jews, is their belief in God
10:55
However, you, Jews, are more likely to follow a path other than the right path
11:01
And wages for the sake of maturity and purpose of them
11:06
And when they come to you, they say, “We believe,” but they entered with disbelief, and they left with it
11:16
And God knows best what they were concealing
11:22
And when these hypocritical Jews come to you, O believers
11:27
They told you: We believe in what your Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, brought
11:34
We followed him in his religion
11:37
They persist in their disbelief and misguidance
11:41
They have come upon you with their disbelief, which they believe in their hearts and conceal in their chests
11:48
They brought disbelief out of you just as they brought it in to you
11:53
By coming to you, they did not renounce their disbelief and misguidance
11:58
And God knows best what disbelief they harbored when they told you with their tongues
12:05
We believed in God and Muhammad and believed in what he brought
12:25
O Muhammad, you see many of these Jews
12:29
They hasten the occurrence of sin
12:32
And exceeding the limit that God has set for them
12:36
And they eat the bribes they take from people
12:39
On a ruling other than God’s ruling on them
12:43
I swear to God, what a miserable job these Jews were doing
12:55
Do those who hasten into sin not be forbidden by their believing imams?
13:00
The scholars ruled them with their policies and their rabbis
13:05
About telling lies and falsehood
13:07
And they ate the bribes they used to take based on their rulings other than the Book of God for those for whom they ruled by it
13:15
Miserable is their work with their tongues
13:18
The Jews said God's hand is tied
13:23
Their hands were bound and they were cursed for what they said
13:28
Rather, he attacks with two whips and spends however he wants
13:35
May the rescue increase
13:38
And they help help
13:42
And they help help
13:45
And they were more foolish than them
13:48
And they help help
13:51
Whatever he wants
13:54
And what has been sent down to you from your Lord will increase many of them in transgression and disbelief
14:04
We will cause enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection
14:12
And they strive through the earth to spread corruption, and God does not like corruptors.
14:22
She said the Jews are from the children of Israel
14:26
God is stingy with us and grants us His grace
14:30
Like his hand being tied, he is unable to extend it with a gift or an act of kindness
14:36
He said: God is their liar
14:39
Their hands withheld good things
14:42
And I refrained from being happy with the gifts
14:45
They were removed from God's mercy
14:48
Rather, his hands are spread out in giving and giving
14:52
And the livelihood of His servants and the sustenance of His creation
14:55
He provides as He pleases
14:57
He gives this and denies that
15:00
And many of them will be increased by what has been sent down to you from your Lord
15:06
They went to extremes in denying what they knew to be true of the prophecy of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace
15:13
And their disbelief increases through their denial of the greatness of God
15:17
They described him as something other than his description
15:20
We will cause enmity and hatred between the Jews and Christians until the Day of Resurrection
15:27
Whenever they agree on something, it becomes straight
15:31
God scattered it among them and corrupted it
15:34
Because of their bad actions and malicious intentions
15:37
These Jews and Christians act in disobedience to God
15:42
So they disbelieve in His signs and deny His messengers
15:46
And they disobey his command and prohibition
15:49
This is their pursuit of corruption
15:52
God does not like someone who commits sins on his land
15:57
If the People of the Book had believed and feared, We would have expiated their evil deeds from them
16:10
And We will admit them to gardens of bliss
16:16
Even if the People of the Book believed in God and His Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace
16:23
And fear what God has forbidden them, so avoid it
16:27
We erased from them their sins, so we covered them and did not expose them to them
16:33
And We will admit them into gardens where they will enjoy themselves in the Hereafter
16:38
Even if they had established the Torah and the Gospel
16:45
And whatever was sent down to them from their Lord, they would have eaten from above them and from beneath their feet
17:02
Among them is a frugal nation
17:07
Many of them did poorly
17:14
Even if they had acted according to what is in the Torah and the Gospel
17:19
And they did what was sent down to them from their Lord, so God sent down drops of rain on them from the sky
17:27
Through it, the earth produced its seeds and plants for them, and it brought forth its fruits
17:34
And they would eat from the pool of earth beneath their feet
17:39
From its grains, plants, fruits, and everything else that is eaten from what the earth produces
17:46
Among them is a group that is moderate in their statements about Jesus bin Maryam
17:51
Many of the children of Israel did poorly
