In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:05
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08
It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:14
Surah Al-Hijr
0:18
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:22
A thousand, not my mother
0:28
These are the verses of the Book and a clear Quran
0:34
Perhaps those who disbelieve wish they were Muslims
0:42
A thousand, not my mother
0:44
These are verses of books that existed before the Qur’an
0:48
Such as the Torah and the Gospel
0:50
And verses of the Qur’an that show whoever contemplates and contemplates his guidance and guidance
0:57
Perhaps those who disbelieved in God and denied His oneness would like it
1:02
If they were Muslims in this world
1:07
Let them eat and enjoy themselves, and let them be inspired by hope, and they will know
1:17
Leave, O Muhammad, these polytheists eating in this world
1:22
They enjoy its pleasures and their desires in it
1:26
For their term which I postponed for them
1:29
Hope distracts them from taking their share of obedience to God in it
1:35
Tomorrow, when they respond to him, they will know that they were in loss and ruin
1:43
We destroyed not a single town except that it had a known book
1:52
No nation advances its term, nor does it delay it
1:59
O Muhammad, we have not destroyed any of the people of one of the villages that we destroyed in the past
2:06
Except that it has a temporary term and a known duration
2:11
So are the people of your village
2:13
We will not destroy the polytheists of its people except after their term has been fulfilled
2:19
What precedes the destruction of a nation before its term
2:23
Its destruction will not be delayed beyond the time limit set for it
2:29
And they said, O you to whom the message was revealed, you are crazy
2:38
If you had not brought us the angels, you were of the truthful ones
2:49
These polytheists said
2:52
O you to whom the Qur’an was revealed
2:55
The one who reminded God of the sermons it contained to his creation
2:59
You are crazy in your prayers for us to follow you and abandon our gods
3:06
Don't you bring us angels as witnesses to the truth of what you say?
3:12
If you are honest that God Almighty has sent you as a messenger to us
3:18
We do not send down the angels except with truth, and they are not speculators
3:29
We do not send down our angels except with the truth by sending a message to our messengers
3:36
Or by tormenting whomever we wanted to torture
3:39
If We had sent to these polytheists a sign and they would have disbelieved
3:44
They did not look and be delayed with torment
3:47
Rather, they hastened it just as we did to the nations before them when they asked about the signs
3:54
So they disbelieved when the signs came to them, so We hastened punishment upon them
4:01
It is We who sent down the Remembrance, and indeed We will preserve it
4:10
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an, and indeed, we are guardians of the Qur’an
4:16
From adding to it the falsehood of what is not of it
4:20
Or what is missing from it is its rulings, limits, and obligations
4:26
We were sent before you among the sects of the ancients
4:33
No messenger comes to them but they mock him
4:42
O Muhammad, We sent messengers before you among the first nations
4:48
And what comes to the first two is a messenger sent by God
4:51
Except they were mocking the messengers
4:55
We also make it into the hearts of criminals
5:01
They do not believe in him, and the year of the first two has passed
5:11
Just as we cultivated disbelief in the hearts of the ancients by mocking the messengers
5:16
This is what we do in the hearts of those who committed crimes in disbelief in God
5:21
Your people, whose hearts have taken the path of denial, do not believe in this Qur’an
5:27
Until they see the painful torment
5:30
They took from them the Sunnah of their ancestors from the polytheists before them
5:34
From the nations that denied their Messenger
5:37
She did not believe in what came to her from God
5:41
Until God's wrath befell her and she perished
5:46
And if We had opened for them a gate from heaven, they would have continued to climb through it
5:55
They would have said, “Our eyes have been blinded.” Rather, we are an enchanted people
6:06
O Muhammad, if we had opened a door from heaven to these polytheists
6:12
So they remained in it, rising and rising
6:15
It was said that the angels kept ascending through it while they saw them with their own eyes
6:22
These polytheists would have said, “This is not true.”
6:27
It took our sight and enchanted it
6:30
Do not see a thing as it is
6:34
And We have placed constellations in the sky and decorated them for the beholders
6:46
And We have made dwelling places in the lower heaven for the sun and the moon
6:50
We decorated the sky with stars for those who looked at them and saw them
6:57
And We protected it from every accursed devil
7:04
Except for one who eavesdrops, and is followed by a clear shooting star
7:12
We protected the lower heaven from every devil whom God had stoned and cursed
7:18
But the devils may eavesdrop on what is happening in heaven
7:24
Then a shooting star from the Fire follows him, showing its impact on him
7:28
Either by ruining it or by burning it
7:34
We spread the earth and placed mountains in it and made it grow
7:42
And We caused therein to grow every thing in balance
7:50
We flattened the earth, spread it out, and placed stable mountains on its backs
7:57
And We caused everything to grow on earth with a decreed and known limit
8:04
And We have provided for you therein sustenance, and for those for whom you do not have provision
8:13
And make us a livelihood for you, O people, on earth
8:17
And make us therein those for whom you are not providers
8:20
Of slaves, female slaves, animals, and livestock
8:25
There is nothing but with Us its treasures, and We do not send it down except in a known measure
8:44
There is no rain but its stores are with Us, and We do not send it down except in proportion to each land whose limit and amount are known to Us.
8:57
And We sent the fertilizing winds, and We sent down water from the sky, and gave you water to drink, but you are not its keepers
9:14
And We sent the winds to fertilize, and they are fertilizing, and their pollinating is carried by water
9:22
And its pollination of the clouds and trees, it made it into it, and We sent down rain from the sky
9:29
So we gave you that rain to drink for your land and your livestock
9:34
You are not the storeper of the water that We sent down, so you prevent him from giving me water
9:40
Because that is in my hand, I can give it to whomever I want
9:54
Indeed, We can revive whoever is dead if We wish and kill whoever is alive if We wish
10:03
We inherit the earth and those on it by killing all of them, leaving no one alive except us
10:12
We have known those who came forward among you, and We have known those who are coming back
10:20
Indeed, it is your Lord who will gather them. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing
10:30
We have already known that the dead among you, O children of Adam, are about to die
10:36
We have learned of the latecomers whose death was delayed
10:41
And indeed, your Lord, O Muhammad, will gather all the first ones and the last ones with Him on the Day of Resurrection
10:48
Your Lord is Wise in His management of His creation, Knowing of their numbers and deeds
10:55
The living among them, the dead, the early ones, and the late ones
11:02
We created man from clay from aged sludge
11:12
We created Adam from dry clay that had not been touched by fire
11:18
When I clicked on it, he prayed, and I heard a squeak of clay turning black
11:27
We created the jinn before from the fire of toxins
11:38
We created Satan before Adam from the fire of hot toxins that kill
11:46
And when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I am creating human beings, human beings, from clay, from molten clay.”
12:03
When I have shaped him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down and prostrate before him
12:12
And remember, O Muhammad, when God said, “Indeed, I will create human beings from dry clay that will change to black.”
12:21
If I created him, then prostrate to him
12:24
So, I created him and formed him, then modified his image
12:29
I breathed My Spirit into him and he became a living human being
12:34
They prostrated before him as a greeting and honor, not a prostration of worship
12:40
So the angels prostrated, all of them together
12:48
Except Satan, who refused to be with those who prostrated
12:56
When God created that human being and breathed the soul into him
13:01
The angels all prostrated themselves together
13:04
Except for Satan, for he refused to be with those who prostrated
13:09
He did not prostrate to him with them out of arrogance, envy, and transgression
13:15
He said, O Satan, why should you not be with those who prostrate?
13:22
He said: I would not prostrate to a human being whom I created from clay from aged sludge
13:39
God said, “What prevents you from being with those who prostrate?”
13:44
Satan said: I would not prostrate to a human being whom I created from clay and who I am from fire
13:51
And fire eats clay
13:55
He said, "Get out of it, for you are excommunicated."
14:00
And you will be cursed until the Day of Judgment
14:09
God said, come out of it, for you are cursed
14:13
And if God becomes angry with you by removing you from the heavens and expelling you from them
14:19
Until the day of reward and that is the Day of Resurrection
14:25
He said, “My Lord, wait for me until the day they are resurrected.”
14:32
He said, "You are one of the theoreticians."
14:37
Until the appointed day
14:43
Satan said, “My Lord, if you take me out of the heavens and curse me.”
14:49
So delay me until the day you raise your creation from their graves
14:53
So you gather them to the place of resurrection
14:57
God said to him, “You are among those who have delayed your destruction.”
15:01
Until the day of the appointed time for the destruction of all my creation
15:07
My Lord said, “Because you have led me astray, We will certainly beautify them on earth.”
15:17
And I will seduce them all
15:22
Except Your sincere servants among them
15:28
Satan said, “My Lord, you have tempted me.”
15:32
If they did good to them, they would disobey you
15:34
And we would love it to them on earth
15:38
And I will mislead them from the path of guidance
15:41
Except for the one whom You have saved with Your grace and whose guidance you have guided
15:45
This is something I have no control over and no power over
15:51
He said: This is a straight path for me
15:56
My servants, you have no authority over them except those of those who go astray who follow you
16:07
God said this is the way back to me
16:11
So I will reward everyone for his deeds
16:14
My servants, you have no argument against them
16:17
Except for those who follow you in the misguidance you have called them to, those who go astray and are destroyed
16:24
And Hell is the appointed time for all of them
16:32
It has seven doors, each of which has a divided section
16:41
Indeed, Hell is a rendezvous for all who follow you
16:45
Hell has seven dishes
16:48
For each dish of Satan's followers, there is a portion and a divided share
16:54
The righteous will be in gardens and springs
17:03
Enter it safely and securely
17:08
And We removed the rancor from their breasts, brothers
17:15
Brothers in beds facing each other
17:20
No calamity will touch them therein, and they will not be able to escape from it
17:29
Those who fear God by obeying Him and fear Him
17:33
In gardens and eyes
17:36
They are told to enter it in peace, safe from God's punishment
17:42
We brought out the hatred and grudge in the hearts of these pious people towards each other
17:49
Brothers facing each other
17:53
He does not turn around and look at his back
17:56
These pious people are not touched by fatigue
18:00
And there are no two exits from Paradise and its bliss
18:03
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
