0:13 Surah al-Dhariyat.

0:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:22 By those [winds] that scatter dust in all directions.

0:25 And those [clouds] that carry a heavy load [of water].

0:27 And those [ships] that sail with ease.

0:30 And those [angels] that distribute the command [of Allah].

0:33 Indeed, that which you are promised is certainly true.

0:37 And indeed, the Recompense is surely to occur.

0:43 [It refers to] the winds that scatter the dust in all directions.

0:46 [It refers to] the clouds that carry their heavy burden of water.

0:50 [It refers to] the ships that sail the seas with ease and smoothness.

0:54 [It refers to] the angels who distribute the command of Allah among His creation.

0:59 Indeed, that which you are promised, O people, regarding the coming of the Hour,

1:02 And the resurrection of the dead,

1:04 Is a certain and absolute truth.

1:07 And indeed, the reckoning, the reward, and the punishment are inevitable.

1:25 And [by] the sky, with its beautiful creation.

1:28 Indeed, you, O people, are in conflicting speech regarding this Qur'an;

1:33 Some believe in it, while others deny it.

1:37 Whoever is turned away from faith in this Qur'an is truly diverted.

1:56 Cursed are the liars,

1:58 Who fabricate falsehood and untruth,

2:01 And conjecture about it.

2:03 Those who are immersed in the depths of misguidance, persisting in it.

2:08 And they are heedless of the truth with which Allah sent Muhammad,

2:11 Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

2:14 They have been distracted from it.

2:16 These liars ask,

2:18 "When is the Day of Recompense and Reckoning?"

2:22 [It is] the day they are tested by the Fire.

2:27 “(And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten.” (51:14)

2:35 The day they are tormented in the fire of Hell by being burned.

2:40 It is said to them,

2:42 "Taste your punishment and your burning."

2:45 This punishment that you are receiving today,

2:48 Is the very punishment you were impatient for in the worldly life.

2:53 Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs.

3:01 “Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good;” (51:16)

3:04 “Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good;” (51:16)

3:11 Indeed, those who feared Allah by obeying Him and avoiding His disobedience,

3:16 Will be in gardens and springs of water in the Hereafter,

3:20 Acting upon what their Lord commanded them,

3:23 Fulfilling His obligatory duties.

3:25 They were, before the obligations were imposed upon them, obedient,

3:31 “They used to sleep but little of the night,” (51:17)

3:37 And in the hours before dawn, they would seek forgiveness.

3:41 “And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share.” (51:19)

3:49 They used to sleep but little of the night,

3:52 Thus He described them by their abundance of deeds and staying awake at night,

3:55 And their struggle in what draws them closer to Him.

3:59 And in the hours before dawn, they would pray.

4:01 It is also said that they delayed seeking forgiveness for their sins until the dawn.

4:06 And in the wealth of these righteous ones,

4:09 There is a right for the seeker who is in need of what they possess,

4:13 And for the deprived who is denied sustenance and is in need.

4:18 “And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure.” (51:20)

4:22 And in your own selves, do you not see?

4:29 “And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised;” (51:22)

4:36 And on the earth are signs and lessons for those who have certainty,

4:39 Regarding the truth of what they witnessed and saw when they traveled through it.

4:44 And within yourselves, too, O people, are signs and lessons,

4:48 That point you toward the oneness of your Creator.

4:51 Do you not look at that and reflect upon it?

4:55 And in the sky is the rain and the snow,

4:58 By which the earth brings forth your sustenance,

5:01 And [it contains] what you are promised of good or evil.

5:14 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth,

5:17 That which I have told you, O people,

5:20 That your sustenance and what you are promised is in the heaven, is the truth,

5:24 Just as it is true that you speak.

5:46 “Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf;” (51:26)

5:53 “And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat?” (51:27)

5:58 And he felt apprehension of them.

6:01 They said, "Do not fear."

6:03 And they gave him glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.

6:08 Has the story of the honored guests of Ibrahim, the Friend of the Most Merciful, reached you, O Muhammad?

6:14 When the guests of Ibrahim entered upon him,

6:17 They said to him, "Peace."

6:19 Ibrahim said to them,

6:22 "Peace be upon you,

6:24 A people whom I do not recognize."

6:26 Then he turned to his family and returned,

6:29 And brought his guests a fat roasted calf.

6:33 He placed it before them, but they refrained from eating it.

6:37 He said, "Will you not eat?"

6:40 Ibrahim felt apprehension in his heart regarding his guests,

6:44 And he concealed it.

6:46 They said, "Do not fear."

6:48 And they gave him glad tidings of a boy who would be knowledgeable when he grew up.

6:52 “Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman!” (51:29)

7:02 “They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower.” (51:30)

7:12 Then his wife, Sarah, approached with a cry,

7:15 And she struck her forehead in astonishment,

7:18 And said, "Will I give birth while I am an old, barren woman?"

7:22 They said, "Thus has your Lord said, just as We have informed you."

7:26 Indeed, He is the All-Wise in His management of His creation,

7:30 The All-Knowing of their interests.
