In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:03
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08
It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammar
0:14
Surah Al Imran
0:16
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:22
Among the People of the Book are those who, if you secure them with a Qanqar, will return them to you
0:31
He will return it to you, and among them are those who, if you entrust him with a dinar, will not return it to you
0:41
It will only lead you to it as long as you stand on it
0:48
That is because they said, “We have no way to treat the illiterate.” And they say
0:58
And they say lies about God while they know
1:04
And from the People of the Book
1:06
If you trust him, O Muhammad, you will receive a great deal of money
1:11
He will give it to you and will not betray you
1:14
Among them is the one who, if you entrust him with a dinar, he betrays you with it
1:19
It will not lead him to you unless you insist on litigation and demands
1:25
For what he says
1:27
There is no blame or blame on us for what we have acquired from the Arabs’ money
1:32
Because they are not right and they are polytheists
1:36
And they say lying about God is our religion of sin
1:41
Indeed, whoever fulfills his covenant and is pious, God loves the pious
1:52
It is not what these liars say about God
1:56
But whoever fulfills his covenant that he made in his book
2:01
So he believed in Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and believed in him
2:05
And fear what God has forbidden from disbelief
2:09
God loves those who fear Him and fear His punishment
2:14
Those who buy into God's covenant and their oaths
2:20
A little fat. Those will have no share in the Hereafter
2:30
God will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection
2:39
He will not purify them, and they will have a painful punishment
2:47
Those who forsake God's covenant
2:51
And with their false oaths, which they use as permissible
2:55
What God has forbidden to them of people’s money
2:58
A vile substitute for the world's wealth and its ruins
3:03
Those have no share in the good things of the Hereafter
3:06
God does not speak to them about what pleases them
3:10
He does not show kindness to them, out of God’s abhorrence for them
3:14
It does not cleanse them of the filth of their sins and disbelief
3:18
And they will have a painful torment
3:22
And among them is a group who distort the Scripture with their tongues
3:32
So that you may think it is from the Book, but it is not from the Book
3:40
They say it is from God, but it is not from God
3:50
And they say lies about God while they know
3:56
Among the Jews there is a group who distort the Book with their tongues
4:01
So that you might think that what they are distorting is from the Book of God and its revelation
4:07
And what is that which they twisted their tongues from the Book of God?
4:11
They claim that they twisted their tongues with it out of distortion and lies
4:16
From what God revealed to His prophets
4:20
This is not what God revealed to any of His prophets
4:25
But it is something they created on their own
4:29
They deliberately tell lies about God
4:32
It is not possible for a human being that God should give him the Book, wisdom, and prophecy
4:41
Then he tells people
4:47
Be my servants instead of God
4:52
But be masters
4:57
Because you knew the book
5:02
Because you knew the book
5:07
And what you were studying
5:11
And no human being should
5:15
May God send down the Book to him
5:18
And teach him the season of wisdom
5:20
And gives him prophecy
5:22
Then he calls people to worship himself instead of God
5:26
But if God gives him that
5:29
He only calls them to knowledge of God
5:32
He urges them to find out how to buy his religion
5:35
And to be imams in obedience to him
5:38
By teaching them the Book of their Lord
5:41
What is permissible and forbidden in it
5:44
By reciting it and studying it
5:48
He does not command you to take the angels
5:54
And the prophets are lords
5:58
I order you to disbelieve after you are Muslims
6:08
It was not for the Prophet to command people
6:11
To take angels and prophets
6:14
They worship gods other than God
6:17
Does your Prophet command you, people?
6:20
By denying the oneness of God
6:22
After you are led by obedience to Him
6:25
They grovel to Him in slavery
6:28
When God took the covenant of the prophets
6:32
Because I have given you of the Book and wisdom
6:45
Then a confirming messenger came to you
6:54
Tell me what you have so that you may believe it
7:01
And you will support him
7:04
He said, "Should I approve of you and you took my insistence on that?"
7:10
They said we agreed
7:13
He said, “Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.”
7:20
And remember, O People of the Book
7:23
When God took the covenant of the prophets
7:26
What they trusted themselves with
7:29
Obedience to God in what He commands and prohibits them
7:32
Whatever I come to you, O prophets
7:35
From the book and wisdom
7:37
Then a messenger from me came to you
7:39
I believe what you have
7:41
You will believe him and support him
7:44
Did you acknowledge the charter?
7:46
Which you trusted me with
7:49
You took what you trusted me to do
7:51
My covenant and my will
7:53
The prophets from whom God took a covenant said
7:57
We acknowledged the faith required of us
8:00
Your messengers whom you send
8:02
Believing in what we have of your books and with their support
8:06
God said
8:08
So bear witness, O prophets
8:10
With what I took into your covenant
8:12
And upon your followers among the nations
8:15
I am with you among the witnesses
8:17
You and them should do that
8:20
Whoever turns away after that, those are the transgressors
8:29
Whoever turns away from believing in My Messengers
8:33
The covenant and covenant have not yet been victorious
8:36
These are those who depart from the religion of God and obedience to their Lord
8:41
Do they seek anything other than the religion of God?
8:45
And to Him is the safest one in the heavens
8:50
And to Him is the safest of all who are in the heavens and the earth
8:55
Voluntarily and involuntarily
8:58
And to Him they will return
9:02
Is there anything other than obedience to God that they seek and desire?
9:07
To Him is the humility of all who are in the heavens and the earth
9:10
So he submitted to him in obedience
9:14
Like angels, prophets, and messengers
9:17
It is disliked, like Islam. Whoever converts to Islam warns of the sword against himself
9:22
And to Him you will become after He has killed you
9:25
So I will reward you for your deeds
9:47
And Jacob and the tribes
9:50
And what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord
10:02
We do not differentiate between any of them
10:11
We are Muslims to Him
10:16
If they seek other than the religion of God
10:19
So tell them, O Muhammad
10:21
We believe in God that He is our Lord and our God, and there is no god but Him
10:26
We believed in what was revealed to us from His revelation and revelation
10:31
We also believed in what was revealed to Abraham
10:35
And his two sons, Ishmael and Isaac
10:38
And his son Jacob
10:40
And what was revealed to the 12 sons of Jacob
10:44
We also believed in what was revealed to Moses and Jesus
10:48
And what was revealed to the prophets from Him
10:52
We don't believe some of them and we lie to some of them
10:55
But we believe in them all and believe them
10:59
We are led by obedience to Him
11:02
Humiliated by slavery
11:05
And whoever desires a religion other than Islam
11:10
He will not accept it
11:13
He will not accept it
11:16
In the afterlife, he will be one of the losers
11:22
Whoever seeks a religion other than the religion of Islam will follow it
11:26
God will not accept him
11:28
In the Hereafter, he will be one of the miserly. Their souls will be filled with God’s mercy
11:34
How does God guide a people who multiplied after they believed?
11:40
They increased after their faith
11:43
They testified that the Messenger is true and clear evidence came to them
11:50
And God does not guide unjust people
11:56
Their reward is that they are subject to the curse of God, the angels, and all people
12:14
They will abide therein forever; the torment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be respite
12:23
Except those who repent after that and amend, for God is Forgiving and Merciful
12:33
How does God guide us to what is right and grant us success in faith?
12:37
A people who denied the prophecy of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, after they believed him
12:44
After they acknowledged that Muhammad is truly the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace to his creation
12:51
Proofs came to them from God
12:54
God does not guide the unjust group to the truth and correctness
12:59
Those who changed truth into falsehood
13:02
Those are their reward if they are excluded and distanced from God, from the angels, and from all people
13:10
Not some of what God called
13:12
They remain in God's punishment
13:15
They do not reduce the torment in any way
13:20
Nor do they look at someone to apologise
13:24
Except for those who repent after abandoning their faith
13:28
And they did good deeds
13:31
God is for whoever does that after his disbelief
13:35
He covered his sin of apostasy
13:39
Show mercy to him
13:42
Indeed, those who increased in number after their belief and then increased in disbelief, their repentance will not be accepted, and it is those who are astray
14:02
Those among the Jews who disbelieved in Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, after his being sent
14:10
After their belief in him before his resurrection
14:13
Then they increased in disbelief because of the sins they committed in their disbelief and their standing on their misguidance
14:20
Their repentance for the sins they committed in their disbelief will not be accepted
14:25
Until they repent of their disbelief in Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace
14:31
And those are the ones who have strayed from the path of truth
14:34
They made a mistake in his approach
14:36
Confusion about them and those about him
14:39
Indeed, those who multiplied and died while they were disbelievers, it will not be accepted from any of them that fills the earth with gold, even if he ransomes it. Those will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers.
15:08
Those who denied the prophecy of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and died accordingly
15:14
No reward or bribe will be accepted from anyone who had this quality in the afterlife for abandoning his punishment for his disbelief
15:23
If he had as much gold as would fill the earth from east to west
15:29
Those who disbelieved and died while they were disbelievers
15:34
They will have a painful punishment before God in the Hereafter
15:38
They have no relative, intimate, or friend to support them
15:45
You will not attain righteousness until you spend from what you love
15:53
Whatever you spend, God is All-Knowing of it
16:15
Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
