0:22 “Among the People of the Scripture there is he who, if thou trust him with a weight of treasure, will return it to thee. And among them there is he who, if thou trust him with a piece of gold, will not return it to thee unless thou keep standing over him. That is because they say: We have no duty to the Gentiles. They speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly.” (3:75)

1:04 And among the People of the Book

1:06 is he who, if you trust him, O Muhammad, with a vast treasure of wealth,

1:11 will return it to you and not betray you regarding it;

1:14 and among them is he who, if you trust him with a single dinar, will betray you regarding it

1:19 and will not return it to you unless you persistently demand and claim it.

1:25 This is because they say:

1:27 "There is no blame upon us for whatever we take from the wealth of the Arabs, nor any sin,"

1:32 because they are not upon the truth and are idolaters.

1:36 Thus they knowingly utter lies against Allah, deliberately sinning.

1:41 “Nay, but (the chosen of Allah is) he who fulfilleth his pledge and wardeth off (evil); for lo! Allah loveth those who ward off (evil).” (3:76)

1:52 The matter is not as these liars against Allah claim;

1:56 rather, whoever fulfills his covenant that he made with Him in His Scripture,

2:01 believing in Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and affirming his truth,

2:05 and fears that disbelief which Allah forbade him,

2:09 then surely Allah loves those who fear Him and dread His punishment.

2:14 “Lo! those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah's covenant and their oaths, they have no portion in the Hereafter. Allah will neither speak to them nor look upon them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He make them grow. Theirs will be a painful doom.” (3:77)

2:47 Indeed, those who trade away the covenant of Allah

2:51 and their false oaths—by which they deem lawful

2:55 what Allah forbade them of people's wealth—

2:58 for a paltry substitute and the ephemeral vanities of worldly trash,

3:03 will have no share in the good things of the Hereafter;

3:06 Allah will not speak to them with that which pleases them,

3:10 nor look upon them with kindness, out of His abhorrence of them,

3:14 nor will He cleanse them from the filth of their sins and disbelief,

3:18 and theirs will be an agonizing punishment.

3:22 "And indeed, among them is a group who distort the Book with their tongues..."

3:32 “And lo! there is a party of them who distort the Scripture with their tongues, that ye may think that what they say is from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say: It is from Allah, when it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly.” (3:78)

3:40 “And lo! there is a party of them who distort the Scripture with their tongues, that ye may think that what they say is from the Scripture, when it is not from the Scripture. And they say: It is from Allah, when it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly.” (3:78)

3:50 "And they fabricate lies against Allah knowingly."

3:56 Indeed, among the Jews is a group who twist their tongues with the Scripture,

4:01 so that you may assume that what they distort is part of the Book of Allah and His revelation,

4:07 whereas what they twist their tongues with is not from the Book of Allah at all.

4:11 They claim that their distortions and falsehoods

4:16 are part of what Allah revealed to His Prophets,

4:20 though it is not part of anything Allah revealed to any of His Prophets;

4:25 rather, it is something they invented from themselves,

4:29 deliberately uttering falsehood against Allah.

4:32 “It is not (possible) for any human being unto whom Allah had given the Scripture and wisdom and the prophethood that he should afterwards have said unto mankind: Be slaves of me instead of Allah; but (what he said was): Be ye faithful servants of the Lord by virtue of your constant teaching of the Scripture and of your constant study thereof.” (3:79)

4:41 "...and then say to the people,

4:47 'Be worshipers of me instead of Allah,'

4:52 but rather, 'Be godly scholars...'"

4:57 “It is not (possible) for any human being unto whom Allah had given the Scripture and wisdom and the prophethood that he should afterwards have said unto mankind: Be slaves of me instead of Allah; but (what he said was): Be ye faithful servants of the Lord by virtue of your constant teaching of the Scripture and of your constant study thereof.” (3:79)

5:02 “It is not (possible) for any human being unto whom Allah had given the Scripture and wisdom and the prophethood that he should afterwards have said unto mankind: Be slaves of me instead of Allah; but (what he said was): Be ye faithful servants of the Lord by virtue of your constant teaching of the Scripture and of your constant study thereof.” (3:79)

5:07 "...and by what you used to study."

5:11 It is not conceivable for any human

5:15 to whom Allah grants the Scripture,

5:18 teaches decisive wisdom,

5:20 and confers prophethood,

5:22 that he should then call people to worship himself instead of Allah.

5:26 Rather, when Allah bestows that upon him,

5:29 he only calls them to the knowledge of Allah,

5:32 guides them to the understanding of the laws of His religion,

5:35 and urges them to be leaders in His obedience

5:38 by teaching them the Book of their Lord

5:41 and its lawful and prohibited rulings,

5:44 and through their recitation and continuous study of it.

5:48 “And he commanded you not that ye should take the angels and the prophets for lords. Would he command you to disbelieve after ye had surrendered (to Allah)?” (3:80)

5:54 "...and the Prophets as lords.

5:58 Would he command you to disbelief after you have become Muslims?"

6:08 It is not for a Prophet to command people

6:11 to take the angels and the Prophets

6:14 as gods to be worshiped besides Allah.

6:17 Would your Prophet command you, O people,

6:20 to reject the oneness of Allah

6:22 after you have already submitted to Him in obedience

6:25 and humbled yourselves before Him in servitude?

6:28 “When Allah made (His) covenant with the prophets, (He said): Behold that which I have given you of the Scripture and knowledge. And afterward there will come unto you a messenger, confirming that which ye possess. Ye shall believe in him and ye shall help him. He said: Do ye agree, and will ye take up My burden (which I lay upon you) in this (matter)? They answered: We agree. He said: Then bear ye witness. I will be a witness with you.” (3:81)

6:32 “When Allah made (His) covenant with the prophets, (He said): Behold that which I have given you of the Scripture and knowledge. 6:54 "Say, 'Whatever I give you... you must believe in him

7:01 and support him.'

7:04 He said, 'Do you agree and accept My binding covenant upon that?'

7:10 They said, 'We agree.'"

7:13 “When Allah made (His) covenant with the prophets, (He said): Behold that which I have given you of the Scripture and knowledge. And afterward there will come unto you a messenger, confirming that which ye possess. Ye shall believe in him and ye shall help him. 7:20 And remember, O People of the Book,

7:23 when Allah took the covenant of the Prophets

7:26 regarding what they pledged upon themselves

7:29 to obey Allah in what He commanded them and forbade them:

7:32 "Whatever I give you, O Prophets,

7:35 of Scripture and wisdom,

7:37 and then a Messenger comes to you from Me

7:39 confirming what is already with you,

7:41 you must surely believe in him and you must surely support him."

7:44 He said, "Do you affirm this covenant

7:46 that you have pledged to Me,

7:49 and do you take upon yourselves, in accordance with it,

7:51 My binding covenant and pledge?"

7:53 The Prophets with whom Allah made this covenant said:

7:57 "We affirm what You have obligated upon us regarding faith

8:00 in the Messengers You send

8:02 who confirm what we hold of Your Scriptures, and we pledge to support them."

8:06 Allah said:

8:08 "Then bear witness, O Prophets,

8:10 to the covenant I have taken from you

8:12 and upon your followers among the nations,

8:15 “When Allah made (His) covenant with the prophets, (He said): Behold that which I have given you of the Scripture and knowledge. And afterward there will come unto you a messenger, confirming that which ye possess. Ye shall believe in him and ye shall help him. He said: Do ye agree, and will ye take up My burden (which I lay upon you) in this (matter)? They answered: We agree. He said: Then bear ye witness. I will be a witness with you.” (3:81)

8:17 against yourselves and against them in this regard."

8:20 “Then whosoever after this shall turn away: they will be miscreants.” (3:82)

8:29 So whoever turns away from believing in My Messengers

8:33 and does not aid them after this solemn pledge and covenant,

8:36 then those are truly the ones who have departed from Allah's religion and obedience to their Lord.

8:41 “Seek they other than the religion of Allah, when unto Him submitteth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and unto Him they will be returned.” (3:83)

8:45 “Seek they other than the religion of Allah, when unto Him submitteth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and unto Him they will be returned.” (3:83)

8:50 “Seek they other than the religion of Allah, when unto Him submitteth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and unto Him they will be returned.” (3:83)

8:55 "...willingly or unwillingly,

8:58 and to Him they shall be returned."

9:02 Do they seek and desire other than obedience to Allah,

9:07 when to Him all who are in the heavens and the earth submit,

9:10 yielding to Him in servitude willingly—

9:14 such as the angels, Prophets, and Messengers—

9:17 or unwillingly, like the surrender of one who accepts Islam out of fear of the sword upon his life?

9:22 And to Him will be your return after death,

9:25 and He will recompense you for your deeds.

9:47 "...and Jacob and the Tribes..."

9:50 “Say (O Muhammad): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and that which was vouchsafed unto Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.” (3:84)

10:02 "...we make no distinction between any of them,

10:11 and to Him we are Muslims."

10:16 So if they seek a religion other than that of Allah,

10:19 say to them, O Muhammad:

10:21 "We believe in Allah, that He is our Lord and our God; there is no deity worthy of worship except Him;

10:26 and we believe in what He revealed to us of His revelation and Scripture;

10:31 and we also believe in what was revealed to Abraham,

10:35 to his two sons Ishmael and Isaac,

10:38 to his grandson Jacob,

10:40 and to the twelve descendants of Jacob;

10:44 and we also believe in what was given to Moses and Jesus,

10:48 and what was revealed to the Prophets from their Lord.

10:52 We do not believe in some of them and reject others;

10:55 rather, we believe in all of them and affirm their truth,

10:59 and to Him we yield in obedience,

11:02 humbled in devotion and servitude."

11:05 “And whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.” (3:85)

11:10 "...never will it be accepted from him,

11:13 never will it be accepted from him,

11:16 and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers."

11:22 Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam to profess,

11:26 Allah will never accept it from him,

11:28 and in the Hereafter he will be among those who have cheated themselves out of their share of Allah's mercy.

11:34 "How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief..."

11:40 "...disbelieved after their belief..."

11:43 “How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and (after) they bore witness that the messenger is true and after clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty) had come unto them. And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.” (3:86)

11:50 "...and Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people."

11:56 “As for such, their guerdon is that on them rests the curse of Allah and of angels and of men combined.” (3:87)

12:14 "Abiding therein forever; the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved."

12:23 "Except for those who repent after that and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

12:33 How could Allah guide to what is right or grant success in faith

12:37 to a people who denied the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) after having believed in him,

12:44 and after acknowledging that Muhammad is truly the Messenger of Allah to His creation,

12:51 and after clear proofs from Allah had reached them?

12:54 For Allah does not grant success toward truth and righteousness to the unjust faction

12:59 who exchanged truth for falsehood.

13:02 The recompense of those is that the curse and expulsion from Allah, from the angels, and from all people settles upon them—

13:10 not merely some of those Allah named.

13:12 They will abide in Allah's punishment,

13:15 with the torment never reduced for them in any manner whatsoever,

13:20 nor will they be granted respite to offer any excuse.

13:24 Except for those who repent after their apostasy from their faith

13:28 and perform righteous deeds;

13:31 for indeed, toward whoever does that after his disbelief,

13:35 Allah will conceal his sin that arose from his apostasy,

13:39 treating him with grace and mercy.

13:42 “Lo! those who disbelieve after their (profession of) belief, and afterward grow violent in disbelief: their repentance will not be accepted. And such are those who are astray.” (3:90)

14:02 Indeed, those among the Jews who disbelieved in Muhammad (peace be upon him) after he was sent,

14:10 despite having believed in him before his mission,

14:13 and then increased in disbelief through the sins they committed in their apostasy and persistence in error,

14:20 their repentance will not be accepted for the sins committed while in their state of disbelief

14:25 until they repent of their disbelief in Muhammad (peace be upon him).

14:31 It is they who have strayed from the path of truth

14:34 and missed its correct course,

14:36 lost in perplexity and turned blind to it.

14:39 "Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers—never would the whole earth full of gold be accepted from one of them, even if he were to offer it as a ransom. For them is a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers."

15:08 Indeed, those who rejected the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and died upon that state,

15:14 neither compensation nor ransom will be accepted in the Hereafter from anyone of this description to avert punishment for his disbelief,

15:23 even if he possessed enough gold to fill the earth from east to west.

15:29 Those who disbelieved and died while in disbelief

15:34 will have an agonizing punishment with Allah in the Hereafter,

15:38 and they will have no relative, close ally, or friend to aid them.

15:45 “Ye will not attain unto piety until ye spend of that which ye love. And whatsoever ye spend, Allah is Aware thereof.” (3:92)

15:53 “Ye will not attain unto piety until ye spend of that which ye love. And whatsoever ye spend, Allah is Aware thereof.” (3:92)
