0:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

0:23 Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and the earth, is able to create the likes of them?

0:32 “Have they not seen that Allah Who created the heavens and the earth is Able to create the like of them, and hath appointed for them an end whereof there is no doubt? But the wrong-doers refuse aught save disbelief.” (17:99)

0:50 Do these polytheists not look with the eyes of their hearts?

0:54 So that they might know that Allah, who created the heavens and the earth,

0:58 Is able to create the likes of them from among the creation after they have become bones.

1:04 Allah has set for these polytheists a term for their destruction.

1:08 There is no doubt that it will come to them.

1:11 Yet the disbelievers refuse everything except to deny the truth of His promise and to reject it.

1:19 “Say (unto them): If ye possessed the treasures of the mercy of my Lord, ye would surely hold them back for fear of spending, for man was ever grudging.” (17:100)

1:40 Say, O Muhammad, to these polytheists:

1:43 If you, O people, possessed the treasuries of my Lord’s wealth,

1:49 You would surely withhold it for fear of spending and poverty.

1:54 For man is ever stingy and grasping.

1:58 Say: We gave Moses nine clear signs.

2:05 “And verily We gave unto Moses nine tokens, clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). Do but ask the Children of Israel how he came unto them, then Pharaoh said unto him: Lo! I deem thee one bewitched, O Moses.” (17:101)

2:28 The flood, the locusts, the lice,

2:36 It is clear to those who saw them that they were proofs for Moses, testifying to his truthfulness and the reality of his prophethood.

2:44 Ask, O Muhammad, the Children of Israel when Moses came to them.

2:48 Pharaoh said to Moses:

2:51 I surely think, O Moses, that you are practicing the science of magic.

2:55 These wonders you perform are from your magic.

3:00 “He said: In truth thou knowest that none sent down these (portents) save the Lord of the heavens and the earth as proofs, and lo! (for my part) I deem thee lost, O Pharaoh.” (17:102)

3:11 They are insights, and I surely think, O Pharaoh, that you are doomed.

3:21 Moses said to Pharaoh:

3:23 You know, O Pharaoh, that none has sent down these nine signs

3:28 “He said: In truth thou knowest that none sent down these (portents) save the Lord of the heavens and the earth as proofs, and lo! (for my part) I deem thee lost, O Pharaoh.” (17:102)

3:31 Except as insights for those who seek to see clearly through them,

3:33 And as guidance for those who are guided by them.

3:36 Whoever sees them knows that the one who brought them is truthful.

3:41 And I surely think, O Pharaoh, that you are cursed and barred from goodness.

3:47 “And he wished to scare them from the land, but We drowned him and those with him, all together.” (17:103)

3:58 So Pharaoh sought to drive Moses and the Children of Israel from the land,

4:03 But We drowned him and all those with him from his army in the sea.

4:08 And We saved Moses and the Children of Israel.

4:12 “And We said unto the Children of Israel after him: Dwell in the land; but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations.” (17:104)

4:18 Dwell in the land.

4:20 “And We said unto the Children of Israel after him: Dwell in the land; but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations.” (17:104)

4:26 And We brought you together in a gathering.

4:30 And We said to them after the destruction of Pharaoh:

4:33 Dwell in the land,

4:35 The land of al-Sham.

4:36 Then when the Hour comes,

4:38 We shall bring you forth from your graves to the place of the Resurrection,

4:43 Mingled together, with some of you pressing against others,

4:46 Not recognizing one another,

4:48 And no one among you will turn to his tribe or his clan.

4:54 “With truth have We sent it down, and with truth hath it descended. And We have sent thee as naught else save a bearer of good tidings and a warner.” (17:105)

4:59 And We have not sent you except as a bringer of glad tidings and a warner.

5:06 And with the truth We have sent down this Qur'an,

5:10 Commanding in it justice, fairness, and beautiful character,

5:14 And forbidding in it injustice and ugly matters.

5:18 Thus it was sent down from Allah to His Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

5:24 And We have not sent you, O Muhammad, except as a bringer of glad tidings of Paradise,

5:29 And a warner to those who disobey Us and oppose Our command.

5:33 “And (it is) a Qur'an that We have divided, that thou mayst recite it unto mankind at intervals, and We have revealed it by (successive) revelation.” (17:106)

5:41 “And (it is) a Qur'an that We have divided, that thou mayst recite it unto mankind at intervals, and We have revealed it by (successive) revelation.” (17:106)

5:51 And it is a Qur'an We have perfected, detailed, and clarified,

5:55 So that you may recite it to the people with deliberation, chanting it and making it clear.

6:00 Do not hasten in its recitation, lest it not be understood from you.

6:04 And We have sent it down in stages.

6:08 “Say: Believe therein or believe not, lo! those who were given knowledge before it, when it is read unto them, fall down prostrate on their faces, adoring,” (17:107)

6:12 “Say: Believe therein or believe not, lo! those who were given knowledge before it, when it is read unto them, fall down prostrate on their faces, adoring,” (17:107)

6:21 They fall upon their chins in prostration.

6:25 “Saying: Glory to our Lord! Verily the promise of our Lord must be fulfilled.” (17:108)

6:35 Say, O Muhammad: Believe in this Qur'an or do not believe in it.

6:40 For your belief in it will not increase the treasuries of Allah's mercy,

6:45 Nor will your abandoning belief in it diminish them.

6:49 And if you disbelieve in it,

6:51 Then those who were given knowledge of Allah and His signs before its revelation, from among the believers of the two Scriptures,

6:58 When this Qur'an is recited to them,

7:01 They fall upon their faces in prostration to the earth in reverence for it.

7:06 And they say, in exaltation of our Lord and declaring Him free from what the polytheists attribute to Him:

7:13 The promise of our Lord, whether of reward or punishment,

7:17 Is nothing but a truth that will surely come to pass.

7:21 “They fall down on their faces, weeping, and it increaseth humility in them.” (17:109)

7:29 And these who were given knowledge from among the believers of the two Scriptures fall

7:34 When the Qur'an is recited to them,

7:37 Upon their chins, weeping,

7:39 And the admonitions and lessons in the Qur'an increase them in submission to the command of Allah and obedience to Him.

7:47 Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Gracious.

7:51 Whichever you call upon, to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.

7:58 “Say (unto mankind): Cry unto Allah, or cry unto the Beneficent, unto whichsoever ye cry (it is the same). His are the most beautiful names. And thou (Muhammad), be not loud-voiced in thy worship nor yet silent therein, but follow a way between.” (17:110)

8:03 Do not recite too loudly, nor too quietly, but seek a way between them.

8:10 Say, O Muhammad, to the polytheists of your people:

8:13 Call upon Allah, O people,

8:15 Or call upon the Most Gracious.

8:16 By whichever of His names, may His majesty be glorified, you call upon your Lord,

8:21 You are calling upon One.

8:23 And to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.

8:26 Do not recite aloud, O Muhammad, in your prayer and your supplication therein,

8:31 Lest the polytheists harm you.

8:34 And do not recite too quietly, lest your companions not hear it.

8:38 But seek a path between the loud and the quiet, so that your companions may hear,

8:44 And the polytheists do not hear it and harm you.

9:12 And say, O Muhammad:

9:14 Praise be to Allah, who has not taken a son, for then He would be a created being, not a Lord.

9:20 And He has no partner in sovereignty,

9:23 For then He would be incapable, in need of the help of others, and weak.

9:29 And He has no ally to protect Him from the humiliation that might befall Him,

9:33 For whoever is in need of the support of another is humiliated and debased.

9:39 And glorify your Lord, O Muhammad,

9:41 And obey Him in what He has commanded you and forbidden you.
