1:12 So those who deny Allah and His Messenger said:

1:15 "The arrival of a man from among us, from the children of Adam,"

1:17 "With a message from Allah to us, is a strange thing."

1:21 "When we have died and become dust, shall we know that?"

1:25 "And shall we see that what you promise us regarding your denial is not happening?"

1:30 "And we shall not return to life after we have died."

1:34 “We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.” (50:4)

1:39 "And with Us is a record that preserves."

1:45 We have known what the earth consumes of their bodies after their death.

1:50 And with Us is a book that preserves all of that.

1:53 It does not wear out what is written in it.

1:56 Nor does it change or alter.

1:59 “Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.” (50:5)

3:21 And We caused to grow in the earth every kind of beautiful plant.

3:26 We did that as an insight for you, O people.

3:29 We show you through it the power of your Lord over whatever He wills.

3:33 And as a reminder from Allah of His greatness and His oneness.

3:37 For every servant who returns to faith in Allah.

3:40 And acts in obedience to Him.

3:43 “And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,” (50:9)

4:00 And tall palm trees with layered fruit.

4:08 As provision for the servants.

4:11 “Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.” (50:11)

4:16 Such is the resurrection.

4:20 And We sent down from the sky blessed rain.

4:24 So We caused to grow with it gardens and trees.

4:27 And the harvested grain of wheat and barley.

4:31 And all other types of grains.

4:33 And We caused to grow with the water tall palm trees.

4:37 Having fruit, which is the spathe.

4:39 Layered, one upon another, stacked.

4:43 As sustenance for the servants.

4:45 And We gave life with this water to a dead land.

4:48 Which had become barren and drought-stricken.

4:51 Just as We caused this dead land to grow with this water.

4:54 And We brought it to life thereby.

4:56 Such is your emergence on the Day of Resurrection, alive from your graves.

5:03 “The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,” (50:12)

5:11 “And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,” (50:13)

5:16 “And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.” (50:14)

5:20 “And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.” (50:14)

5:27 Before these polytheists, the people of Nuh denied.

5:30 And the people of the Rass.

5:32 They are the people who threw their prophet into a well.

5:35 And Thamud and the people of Shu'ayb.

5:38 And the people of Tubba'.

5:40 And his people were idolaters.

5:43 All of these whom We have mentioned.

5:45 Denied the messengers of Allah whom He sent.

5:48 So the threat We promised them became due.

5:53 Were We exhausted by the first creation?

5:57 “Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.” (50:15)

6:04 Were We exhausted by initiating the first creation, which We created when it was nothing?

6:10 So that We would be exhausted by recreating them anew after they have decayed into dust?

6:15 That does not exhaust Us.

6:18 These polytheists do not doubt that We were not exhausted by the first creation.

6:23 But they are in doubt of Our power to create them anew after their annihilation.

6:32 “We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.” (50:16)

7:12 And We are closer to man than his own jugular vein.

7:20 And he is the observer.

7:22 Some Kufan grammarians said: sitting on the right and on the left.

7:29 “He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.” (50:18)

7:38 Man does not utter a word, speaking it.

7:42 But there is, for what he utters of speech, an observer.

7:46 Preserving it and ready.

7:49 “And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.” (50:19)

7:55 "That is what you were trying to avoid."

8:02 And the agony of death will come.

8:04 Which is its intensity and its overpowering of man's understanding.

8:08 Like the stupor of sleep or intoxication.

8:11 And it is said: the agony of death has come with the truth of death.

8:28 This day on which the Horn is blown.

8:31 Is the Day of the Threat which Allah promised the disbelievers He would punish them on.

8:37 “And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness.” (50:21)

8:46 “(And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.” (50:22)

8:51 "So We have removed your veil."

9:00 "So your sight today is sharp."

9:04 And every soul will come to its Lord.

9:07 With it will be a driver, driving it to Allah.

9:10 And a witness, testifying against it for what it did in the world of good or evil.

9:16 "You were in heedlessness of this which you witness today."

9:20 O man, of the terrors and hardships.

9:23 So We have unveiled that for you and shown it to your eyes.

9:27 Until you saw it and witnessed it.

9:30 So the heedlessness has departed from you.

9:32 So you are today sharp-sighted.

9:34 Knowing what you were heedless of in the world.

9:40 “And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).” (50:23)

9:45 “(And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,” (50:24)

9:51 “Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,” (50:25)

9:58 Who set up another god with Allah.

10:02 “Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.” (50:26)

10:07 And the companion of man will say.

10:10 "This is what is with me, prepared and preserved."

10:13 "Throw into Hell every stubborn denier of the oneness of Allah."

10:18 Obstinate against the truth and the path of guidance.

10:21 Withholding all good, whether of Allah or for mankind, from his wealth.

10:26 Transgressing against people with his tongue, with obscenity and foul speech.

10:31 And with his hand, with tyranny and oppression.

10:34 Doubting the oneness of Allah and His power over whatever He wills.

10:39 Who associated partners with Allah, so he worshipped another deity from His creation alongside Him.

10:45 "So throw him into the severe punishment of Hell."
