1:24 I shall ordain My mercy in the Tablet upon which the Torah was written,

1:28 For those who fear Allah,

1:31 By performing His obligatory duties and avoiding His prohibitions,

1:35 And who pay the zakat,

1:37 And for those who believe in and affirm Our signs and Our proofs.

1:43 “Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them. He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid them that which is wrong. He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to wear. Then those who believe in him, and honour him, and help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him: they are the successful.” (7:157)

1:51 Whom they find written [in their scriptures].

2:46 It is they who will be the successful.

2:51 Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who is Muhammad (peace be upon him),

2:59 Whose description, command, and prophethood they find written with them.

3:04 This unlettered Prophet commands his followers to do what is right (al-ma'ruf),

3:09 Which is belief in Allah and adherence to His obedience in what He has commanded and forbidden.

3:14 And he forbids them from what is wrong (al-munkar), which is associating partners with Allah.

3:18 He makes lawful for them the good things, such as the bahirah, sa'ibah, wasilah, and ham.

3:25 And he makes unlawful for them the foul things, such as swine flesh and usury.

3:30 And whatever they used to deem lawful of foods and drinks.

3:34 The unlettered Prophet relieves them of the covenant that Allah had taken from the Children of Israel,

3:40 Regarding the establishment of the Torah and acting upon the severe deeds contained therein,

3:45 Such as cutting the skin to remove traces of urine and the prohibition of war spoils,

3:50 And other such deeds that were made mandatory upon them.

3:54 The ruling of the Qur'an has abrogated these.

3:57 And he relieves them of the shackles that Allah had placed upon them in His saying:

4:02 "Their hands are chained."

4:04 So those who believed in the unlettered Prophet,

4:07 And honored him, revered him, and protected him from the people,

4:12 And aided him against the enemies of Allah and his own enemies by striving against them,

4:17 And followed the Qur'an and the Islam that was revealed with him—

4:21 Those who perform these deeds,

4:24 They are the successful ones, attaining what they sought and hoped for by their actions.

4:31 “Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah to you all - (the messenger of) Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no Allah save Him. He quickeneth and He giveth death. So believe in Allah and His messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, who believeth in Allah and in His Words, and follow him that haply ye may be led aright.” (7:158)

4:41 To Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.

4:45 There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death.

4:51 “Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah to you all - (the messenger of) Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no Allah save Him. He quickeneth and He giveth death. 5:04 And follow him so that you may be guided.

5:09 Say, O Muhammad, to all people:

5:13 “Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah to you all - (the messenger of) Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no Allah save Him. He quickeneth and He giveth death. So believe in Allah and His messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, who believeth in Allah and in His Words, and follow him that haply ye may be led aright.” (7:158)

5:16 To Whom belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them,

5:21 And the management and disposal of all that.

5:23 Divinity and worship should not be directed to anyone but Him.

5:28 And He is the One who, if He wills, creates all that He wills, and gives life and causes death when He wills.

5:35 So believe in the signs of Allah,

5:38 And believe in His Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him),

5:42 The unlettered Prophet who believes in Allah and His words.

5:47 So be guided by him, O people, and act upon what he commands you,

5:51 So that you may be guided and directed, and hit upon the truth in your following of him.

5:57 “And of Moses' folk there is a community who lead with truth and establish justice therewith.” (7:159)

6:07 And among the people of Musa is a group that guides by the truth,

6:12 They remain steadfast upon it and act accordingly.

6:15 By the truth, they give and take.

6:18 They are fair in their dealings and do not commit injustice.

6:23 And We divided them into twelve tribes, as nations.

6:30 “We divided them into twelve tribes, nations; and We inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying: Smite with thy staff the rock! And there gushed forth therefrom twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking-place. And we caused the white cloud to overshadow them and sent down for them the manna and the quails (saying): Eat of the good things wherewith we have provided you. They wronged Us not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.” (7:160)

6:57 Eat of the good things with which We have provided you.

7:11 We divided the people of Musa,

7:13 And We made them into twelve tribes,

7:16 As groups.

7:18 And We revealed to Musa when We divided the Children of Israel and left them wandering in the wilderness.

7:24 Then they asked Musa for water due to their thirst.

7:27 “We divided them into twelve tribes, nations; and We inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying: Smite with thy staff the rock! And there gushed forth therefrom twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking-place. And we caused the white cloud to overshadow them and sent down for them the manna and the quails (saying): Eat of the good things wherewith we have provided you. They wronged Us not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.” (7:160)

7:29 Then twelve springs of water gushed forth from the rock.

7:34 Every people of the twelve tribes knew their drinking place.

7:40 And We shaded them with clouds,

7:42 Protecting them from the heat and harm of the sun.

7:45 And We sent down upon them manna and quails as food for them.

7:49 And We said to them:

7:51 Eat of the lawful things with which We have provided you, O people.

7:55 And they did not cause any deficiency in Our kingdom or authority by their asking what they asked,

8:02 But they were diminishing their own shares by exchanging the inferior for the better,

8:08 And the base for the superior.

8:11 “And when it was said unto them: Dwell in this township and eat therefrom whence ye will, and say "Repentance," and enter the gate prostrate; We shall forgive you your sins; We shall increase (reward) for the right-doers.” (7:161)

8:19 “And when it was said unto them: Dwell in this township and eat therefrom whence ye will, and say "Repentance," and enter the gate prostrate; We shall forgive you your sins; We shall increase (reward) for the right-doers.” (7:161)

8:27 “And when it was said unto them: Dwell in this township and eat therefrom whence ye will, and say "Repentance," and enter the gate prostrate; We shall forgive you your sins; We shall increase (reward) for the right-doers.” (7:161)

8:35 We will increase the doers of good.

8:40 And mention also, O Muhammad, the error of the actions of these people,

8:46 When Allah said to them:

8:48 "Dwell in this village, Jerusalem."

8:51 "And eat from its fruits, grains, and plants wherever you wish."

8:57 "And say: 'Hittah' (a request for forgiveness), that it may remit your sins."

9:01 We will forgive you your sins that you have committed in the past.

9:05 And We will not hold you accountable for them.

9:07 We will increase those who are obedient to Allah beyond what I promised you of the forgiveness of sins.

9:13 “But those of them who did wrong changed the word which had been told them for another saying, and We sent down upon them wrath from heaven for their wrongdoing.” (7:162)

9:32 But those who disbelieved among them altered what Allah had commanded them to say,

9:38 And they said "hintah" (wheat) instead of "hittah" (forgiveness).

9:41 And their saying that was a change from the word that was said to them.

9:45 So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky because they were changing what they were commanded to do,

9:52 Doing the opposite of what Allah commanded them to do,

9:56 And saying other than what Allah commanded them to say.

10:00 “Ask them (O Muhammad) of the township that was by the sea, how they did break the Sabbath, how their big fish came unto them visibly upon their Sabbath day and on a day when they did not keep Sabbath came they not unto them. Thus did We try them for that they were evil-livers.” (7:163)

10:29 And ask, O Muhammad, these Jews about the affair of the village that was near the sea,

10:36 When they transgressed the command of Allah regarding the Sabbath,

10:39 And exceeded it to what Allah had forbidden them.

10:43 When their fish came to them on the day of their Sabbath, in which they were forbidden from work,

10:49 Appearing clearly on the surface of the water from every path and direction.

10:54 And on the day they did not revere it as they revered the Sabbath,

10:58 Which was all the other days, the fish would not come to them.

11:03 As We have described to you of the testing and trial that We mentioned.

11:08 Thus do We test them for their defiance of the obedience of Allah and their departure from it.

11:13 And when a group among them said, "Why do you advise a people whom Allah is about to destroy?"

11:25 “And when a community among them said: Why preach ye to a folk whom Allah is about to destroy or punish with an awful doom, they said: In order to be free from guilt before your Lord, and that haply they may ward off (evil).” (7:164)

11:30 “And when a community among them said: Why preach ye to a folk whom Allah is about to destroy or punish with an awful doom, they said: In order to be free from guilt before your Lord, and that haply they may ward off (evil).” (7:164)

11:38 And mention also, O Muhammad,

11:40 When a group among them said to a group that was advising the transgressors of the Sabbath,

11:46 And forbidding them from the disobedience of Allah therein:

11:49 "Why do you advise a people whom Allah is about to destroy in this world for their disobedience to Him,

11:55 And their deeming lawful what He has forbidden them,

11:58 Or punish them with a severe punishment in the Hereafter?"

12:02 Those who were forbidding them from the disobedience of Allah said:

12:06 "Our advising them is an excuse before your Lord,"

12:10 Fulfilling the duty imposed upon us to enjoin good and forbid evil,

12:15 "And perhaps they may fear Allah."

12:19 “And when they forgot that whereof they had been reminded, We rescued those who forbade wrong, and visited those who did wrong with dreadful punishment because they were evil-livers.” (7:165)

12:46 So when the faction that transgressed the Sabbath abandoned

12:50 What Allah had commanded them to do regarding refraining from transgression therein,

13:03 And We seized those who transgressed the Sabbath with a severe, wretched punishment,

13:08 Because they were opposing the command of Allah,

13:11 Departing from His obedience to His disobedience.

13:15 “So when they took pride in that which they had been forbidden, We said unto them: Be ye apes despised and loathed!” (7:166)

13:24 So when they persisted in what they were forbidden from regarding their transgression of the Sabbath,

13:30 And their deeming lawful what Allah had forbidden them of fishing and eating it,

13:35 We said to them, "Be apes, cast away from all good."

13:40 “And (remember) when thy Lord proclaimed that He would raise against them till the Day of Resurrection those who would lay on them a cruel torment. Lo! verily thy Lord is swift in prosecution and lo! verily He is Forgiving, Merciful.” (7:167)

14:20 And He is indeed forgiving of the sins of those who repent,

14:23 Merciful to them, that He does not punish them for their crime after their repentance from it.

14:30 “And We have sundered them in the earth as (separate) nations. Some of them are righteous, and some far from that. And We have tried them with good things and evil things that haply they might return.” (7:168)

14:47 And We divided the Children of Israel in the earth into various, scattered groups.

14:53 Among these people are those who believe in Allah and His messengers, and among them are those who are less than righteous.

15:04 And We tried them with hardship in life and calamities in wealth,

15:08 So that they might return to the obedience of their Lord, turn to Him, and repent from His disobedience.

15:15 Then there succeeded them a generation who inherited the Scripture.

15:22 “And a generation hath succeeded them who inherited the scriptures. They grasp the goods of this low life (as the price of evil-doing) and say: It will be forgiven us. And if there came to them (again) the offer of the like, they would accept it (and would sin again). Hath not the covenant of the Scripture been taken on their behalf that they should not speak aught concerning Allah save the truth? And they have studied that which is therein. And the abode of the Hereafter is better, for those who ward off (evil). Have ye then no sense?” (7:169)

15:29 And they say, "It will be forgiven for us."

15:35 And if an offer of the same kind comes to them, they take it.

15:41 “And a generation hath succeeded them who inherited the scriptures. They grasp the goods of this low life (as the price of evil-doing) and say: It will be forgiven us. And if there came to them (again) the offer of the like, they would accept it (and would sin again). 16:03 Do you not then use your reason?

16:07 Then there replaced them an evil generation that came after them.

16:11 They inherited the Book of Allah, so they learned it but neglected to act upon it.

16:16 They take bribes in the judgment of Allah.

16:20 For the sake of this fleeting, immediate worldly gain over the distant Hereafter.

16:25 And they say when they do that, "Allah will forgive us our sins."

16:31 Was not the covenant taken from these who take bribes in their judgments,

16:35 The covenants to establish the Torah and act upon what is in it,

16:39 That they should not say about Allah except the truth,

16:43 And not attribute to Him except what He revealed to His Messenger Musa (peace be upon him)?

16:50 And they read what was in it.

16:52 And what is in the Hereafter, of what is prepared for His allies who maintain His limits,

16:58 Is better for those who fear His punishment.

17:01 Do these not use their reason that what is with Allah in the Hereafter

17:07 Is better than this small gain that they hasten to in this world?

17:12 “And as for those who make (men) keep the Scripture, and establish worship - lo! We squander not the wages of reformers.” (7:170)

17:24 And those who act upon what is in the Book of Allah,
