0:00 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:05 Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
0:08 It was summarized by Dr. Aqeel bin Salem Al-Shammari
0:14 Surah Al-Hijr
0:18 In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
0:23 Tell My servants that I am the Forgiving, the Merciful
0:30 And my torment is a painful torment
0:37 Tell my servants, O Muhammad
0:40 It is I who cover up their sins if they repent of them
0:45 The Most Merciful to them is that I punish them after they repent
0:49 I also told them that my punishment is for those who persist in sinning
0:54 It is a painful torment that has no other similar torment
1:00 And tell them about Abraham's guest
1:05 When they entered upon him, they said hello
1:09 He said, “We are of you and we fear you.”
1:14 They said, “Do not be impatient. We give you good tidings of a knowledgeable boy.”
1:22 Tell My servants, O Muhammad, about Abraham’s guest among the angels
1:27 Those who entered upon Ibrahim Khalil al-Rahman
1:31 When their Lord sent them to the people of Lot to destroy them
1:36 When they came to Abraham, they said, “Peace.”
1:40 Abraham said, “We are afraid of you.”
1:45 The guest, Ibrahim, said, “Don’t be afraid.”
1:49 We give you good news of a knowledgeable boy
1:53 He said, “You gave me good news that old age has befallen me, so what do you give good news to?”
2:01 They said: We have given you good tidings of the truth, so do not be one of those who are despondent
2:08 He said: Who is certain of the mercy of his Lord except those who are lost?
2:19 Abraham said to the angels
2:22 You gave me good news that old age has affected me
2:26 So what do you preach?
2:29 Ibrahim's guest said to him
2:31 We gave you good news of certainty
2:34 He learned from us that God has given you a knowledgeable boy
2:39 Do not be among those who despair of God's grace
2:42 They despair of him
2:44 But preach what we preached to you
2:47 And before the skin
2:50 Ibrahim said to the guest
2:52 And who despairs of God's mercy
2:54 Except for the people who have sinned from what is right
2:58 They preferred this to the religion of God
3:02 He said: What is the matter with you, O messengers?
3:08 They said: We were sent to a criminal people
3:15 Except the family of Lot. Indeed, we will save them all
3:21 Except for his wife. We have destined that she is among those who will remain behind
3:28 Abraham said to the angels
3:31 What is the matter with you, O messengers?
3:34 The angels said to him
3:36 We were sent to a people who have acquired disbelief in God
3:41 Except that Lot should be sold for what he owed
3:45 We will not destroy them
3:47 Rather, We save them from torment
3:50 Except Lot's wife
3:52 God decided that she was among the rest
3:56 Then it is destroyed yet
4:00 When the messengers came to the family of Lot
4:06 He said, “You are a denial people.”
4:12 They said, “Rather, we have brought to you what they were disputing about.”
4:17 And we have brought you the truth, and indeed we are truthful
4:25 When the messengers of God came to the family of Lot
4:29 He told them
4:30 We deny you, we do not know you
4:34 The apostles said to him
4:36 Rather, we are God's messengers
4:38 We have brought to you what your people were complaining about that God’s punishment would befall them for their disbelief in Him
4:46 We have brought you the certain truth from God
4:49 It is torment
4:51 And we are truthful in what we told you, O Lot
4:55 Because God will destroy your people
4:59 So flee from your family in parts of the night and follow their paths
5:06 And follow their paths, and let none of you turn away, and prophesy wherever you are commanded
5:15 And We decreed to him that matter, that we should turn around these people, cut off in the morning
5:26 So your family escaped with the rest of the night
5:30 And follow, O Lot, the paths of your people whom you led away
5:34 And be behind them
5:36 Walk behind them while they are in front of you
5:39 And none of you will look behind him
5:42 Go where God commands you
5:45 We finished that matter with Lot
5:49 And We revealed that the last of your people and the first of them
5:53 An uprooted monster in the morning of their night
5:57 The people of the city came rejoicing
6:03 He said: These are my guests, so do not expose me
6:10 Fear God and do not be disgraced
6:15 The people of the city of Sodom came
6:18 They are the people of Lot
6:20 When they heard that a guest had invited Lot
6:23 They were rejoicing about their arrival in their city
6:26 Their desire to ride immorality
6:30 Lot said to his people
6:32 These people whom you came to seek immorality
6:37 My guest
6:38 A man has the right to honor his guest
6:41 Do not disgrace me, O people, in my guest
6:45 Please honor me by not letting them harm you
6:49 And fear God in and in yourselves lest His punishment befall you
6:54 Do not humiliate me or insult me among them
6:59 They said: Did We not prohibit you from the worlds?
7:04 He said, “These are my daughters, if you do.”
7:13 He told his people
7:15 Aren't we tired of adding anyone from the worlds?
7:19 Lot said to his people
7:21 They married women and had sexual intercourse with them
7:24 And do not do what God has forbidden to you, namely sexual intercourse with men
7:29 If you do what I command you and follow my command
7:36 By your age, they are blinded in their drunkenness
7:42 So the shout took them shining
7:47 So We made the high therein the lowest and rained stones upon them
7:53 We rained down stones of shale upon them
8:01 And your life, Muhammad
8:04 Your people are from Quraysh
8:06 Because of their misguidance and ignorance, they hesitate
8:10 Then the thunderbolt of torment seized them when the sun rose
8:14 So We made the high of their land its low
8:17 We rained down stones of clay on them
8:42 What we did to the people of Lot
8:45 For signs and connotations for observers who consider signs of God
8:51 And a lesson on the consequences of the actions of those who sin and disbelieve in Him
8:56 And this city
8:58 The city of Sodom
8:59 For a clear resident penguin
9:02 The one who passes by it sees it and there is nothing hidden from it
9:06 Indeed, what we did to the people of Lot
9:08 A clear sign and indication for those who believe in God
9:13 To take revenge on the infidels
9:16 And saving him from his torment are people of faith
9:34 The owners of the gathered trees were disbelievers in God
9:40 So we took revenge on them
9:42 And it is the city of the people of the grove and the city of Lot
9:46 A penguin they take on their travels
9:50 He shows the one who has completed his integrity through him
9:54 The owners of the stone lied to the messengers
10:00 And We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them
10:06 They would descend from the mountains into safe houses
10:12 So the shout took them in the morning
10:17 What they were earning did not avail them
10:24 The inhabitants of Hajar lied to the messengers
10:28 They are Thamud, a righteous people
10:31 We showed them our evidence and arguments
10:34 On the truth of what our Messenger, Salih, sent to them
10:39 But they turned away from Our signs
10:42 They do not consider it and do not learn from it
10:45 They would descend from the mountains into homes safe from the punishment of God
10:51 It was said that they were safe from destruction, lest their homes, which they had carved out of the mountains, be destroyed
10:58 It was said that they were safe from death
11:02 Then the cry of doom seized them when they woke up
11:05 The punishment of God was not warded off from them by the evil deeds they had committed before that
11:14 We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything between them except with truth
11:21 And the Hour will come
11:26 So browse the beautiful page
11:31 Your Lord is the Creator, the All-Knowing
11:38 We did not create all creatures
11:41 Its heaven and earth
11:43 And what is in them and what is between them is only justice and fairness
11:49 God Almighty did not wrong any of the nations whose stories were told in this Surah
11:56 And the Hour is coming
11:58 So turn away from the polytheists of your people in a beautiful way
12:02 He pardoned them well
12:05 Your Lord is the one who created them and created everything
12:09 He knows them and their plans
12:13 We have given you seven of the repeated verses and the Great Qur’an
12:22 And We have given you seven signs
12:25 Which contradicts some of its verses
12:28 Some of them follow each other with chapters separating them
12:33 It may be possible that he was told two times
12:37 Because the stories and news were repeated over and over again
12:42 So We gave you seven verses from the Qur’an
12:45 And other parts of the Qur’an
12:50 Do not extend your eyes to what We have enjoyed with pairs of them
12:57 Do not grieve for them and lower your wings to the believers
13:08 Do not wish, O Muhammad, for what we have made of the adornments of this world
13:13 A luxury item for the rich among your people
13:16 Those who do not believe in God and the Last Day
13:20 And do not be sad about what they enjoyed, so hasten to them
13:24 In the afterlife, you will have something better than him
13:28 And be on your side for those who believe in you, follow you, and follow your words
13:33 And do not be harsh with them
13:37 And say, “I am the clear warner.”
13:43 As We revealed to those who divided
13:49 Those who made the Qur’an an admonition
13:56 And say, O Muhammad, to the polytheists
13:59 I am the warner
14:01 Who has made clear His warning to you of calamity and punishment
14:05 May God bring you down
14:07 For persisting in your delusion
14:10 Like what God Almighty sent down of calamity and punishment
14:15 On the one who divided the Book of God
14:17 By disbelieving some and believing others
14:21 It is permissible for me to be divided
14:24 People of the Two Books
14:26 The Torah and the Gospel
14:28 Because they divided the Book of God
14:31 So the Jews accepted some of the Torah and denied some of it
14:35 And you lied about the Gospel and the Criterion
14:39 Al-Nassar acknowledged some of the Gospel
14:42 And you lied about some of it and the Criterion
14:45 It is possible that I am referring to the polytheists from Quraysh
14:50 Because it is divided into the Qur’an
14:53 He called it some poetry and some fortune-telling
14:57 And some legends of the first two
15:00 Those who divided the Qur’an and made it into two parts
15:04 And they bit him
15:07 Their defamation of the Qur’an falsely
15:09 They told them it was poetry and magic
15:13 And so on
15:16 For your sake, we will ask them all
15:23 What they were working on
15:28 So declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists
15:36 For your sake, O Muhammad, we will certainly question those who made the Qur’an an admonition
15:42 What they were doing in this world according to what We commanded them to do
15:46 And while We sent you to them
15:49 So he went ahead and recited the Qur’an and conveyed it to them
15:53 And stop warring and fighting the polytheists of God
15:59 We are sufficient for you against the mockers
16:05 Those who make another god with God
16:10 They will know
16:16 We are sufficient for you against mockers, O Muhammad
16:19 Those who mock and ridicule you
16:23 Who are made partners with God in worshiping Him
16:27 They will know what punishment they will face from God
16:30 When they are destined to Him in the resurrection
16:33 And what calamity befalls them
16:38 We know that you are distressed by what they say
16:46 So glorify the praise of your Lord and how many prostrate
16:54 And worship your Lord until certainty comes to you
17:03 We know, Muhammad
17:06 You are distressed by what these polytheists say
17:10 Because of their denial of you and their mockery of you
17:14 And that embarrasses you
17:16 So be horrified by what befalls you about something you hate from them
17:21 To thank God, praise Him, and pray
17:25 May God protect you from that which concerns you
17:28 And worship your Lord until death comes to you
17:31 Which you are sure of
17:34 Conclusion from Al-Tabari’s interpretation
