0:30 “Lo! We revealed it on a blessed night - Lo! We are ever warning -” (44:3)

1:13 Indeed, We have been senders of messengers.

1:19 As a mercy from your Lord.

1:23 Indeed, it is He who is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

1:31 On this blessed night.

1:33 Every matter decreed by Allah the Almighty for that year is ordained and distinguished.

1:39 Until the same time in the following year.

1:42 On this blessed night, every wise matter is made distinct.

1:47 As a command from Us.

1:49 Indeed, We have been senders of Our messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him, to Our servants.

1:56 As a mercy from your Lord, O Muhammad.

1:59 Indeed, Allah is the All-Hearing of what these polytheists say.

2:03 The All-Knowing of what their inner selves conceal.

2:07 And other matters concerning them and others.

2:12 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them.

2:17 If you are of those who are certain.

2:23 There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death.

2:29 Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.

2:36 He who revealed this Book to you, O Muhammad.

2:40 The Owner of the seven heavens and the earth and whatever is between them.

2:44 If you are certain of the truth of what I have informed you.

2:48 Then be certain of it just as you are certain of the realities of things other than it.

2:53 There is no object of worship for you, O people, other than the Lord of the heavens and the earth.

2:59 He is the One who gives life to whom He wills and causes death to whom He wills.

3:03 Your Owner and the Owner of those who passed away before you from your first forefathers.

3:08 So worship Him instead of your idols.

3:12 “Nay, but they play in doubt.” (44:9)

3:18 They are not certain of the truth of what is said and reported to them of these accounts.

3:24 Rather, they are in doubt about it.

3:27 They are merely playing with their doubt regarding what they are told of these matters.

3:32 “But watch thou (O Muhammad) for the day when the sky will produce visible smoke” (44:10)

3:41 People will soon face this painful punishment.

3:47 "Our Lord, remove the punishment from us; indeed, we are believers."

3:55 So wait, O Muhammad, regarding these polytheists.

3:59 The day the sky brings forth something like a clear smoke, which is evident to anyone who contemplates it as smoke.

4:06 This occurred when the Prophet, peace be upon him, prayed against the Quraysh.

4:11 That Allah might afflict them with years like the years of Joseph.

4:15 It will cover their vision due to the distress that befalls them.

4:19 They will say, "This is a painful punishment."

4:23 And they will say, "If You remove it, we will believe in You."

4:27 "And we will worship You instead of every deity other than You."

4:32 How can they be reminded when a clear messenger has already come to them?

4:40 “And they had turned away from him and said: One taught (by others), a madman?” (44:14)

4:49 From what perspective can these polytheists be reminded after the affliction has descended upon them?

4:55 When they turned away from Our messenger when he came to them, ignoring him.

4:59 They neither remember nor take heed.

5:02 And they say, "He is merely a madman who has been taught this speech."

5:09 Indeed, We will remove the punishment for a little while, but you will return to your ways.

5:20 We will remove the distress that has descended upon them.

5:23 Indeed, you polytheists, once the distress you are in is removed from you.

5:28 You will not fulfill the faith you promised and pledged to your Lord.

5:33 But you will return to your misguidance and transgression.

5:38 “On the day when We shall seize them with the greater seizure, (then) in truth We shall punish.” (44:16)

5:48 Indeed, you polytheists.

5:51 If the punishment is removed from you and you then return to your disbelief.

5:55 We will take retribution from you.

5:57 The day We strike with the greatest assault in the immediate life of this world.

6:01 And We will destroy you.

6:03 Allah removed it from them, but they returned.

6:06 So He struck them with His greatest assault in this world.

6:10 And He destroyed them by killing them with the sword on the day of Badr.
