1:59 God is the Hearer of what these polytheists say

2:03 He knows what their consciences contain

2:07 And other matters about themselves and others

2:12 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them

2:17 If you are sure

2:23 There is no god but Him who gives life and causes death

2:29 Your Lord and the Lord of your first fathers

2:36 Who sent down this book, O Muhammad, upon you

2:40 Owner of the seven heavens, the earth, and everything between them

2:44 If you are certain of the truth of what I told you

2:48 So be certain of Him just as you are certain of the truths of things other than Him

2:53 There is no god for you, O people, other than the Lord of the heavens and the earth

2:59 It is He who gives life to what He wills and causes death to what He wills

3:03 What is your property and what is the property of those who came before you from among your forefathers

3:08 So worship him rather than your gods

3:12 Rather, they are doubtful playing

3:18 They are not certain of the truth of what they say and tell of this news

3:24 But they doubt it

3:27 They are amused by their doubts about what they are telling them

3:32 So wait for the day when the sky will bring forth clear smoke

3:41 People tell us this is a painful punishment

3:47 O Lord, remove the torment from us. We are believers

3:55 So wait, O Muhammad, with these polytheists

3:59 On the Day when the sky will bring to them something like smoke that will become clear to anyone who looks at it that it is smoke

4:06 That was when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed against the Quraysh

4:11 That God would give them years like the years of Joseph

4:15 Their vision becomes blurred from the stress that befalls them

4:19 They say this is painful torture

4:23 They say that if you reveal it, we will believe in you

4:27 We worshiped You without any deity other than You

4:32 I am theirs of remembrance, and a clear messenger has come to them

4:40 Then they turned away from him and said, “A crazy teacher.”

4:49 In what way do these polytheists have to remember after the affliction befalls them?

4:55 They turned away from Our Messenger when he came to them, turning away from him

4:59 They do not remember or learn

5:02 They say that he is crazy to know this

5:09 We will reveal the torment for a little while. You will return

5:20 We are the detector of the harm befalling them

5:23 O polytheists, when I reveal to you what harm is upon you

5:28 You have not fulfilled the faith that you promised and pledged to your Lord

5:33 But you return to your error and error

5:38 The day we unleash the greatest assault, we will be vengeful

5:48 You are polytheists

5:51 If I uncover the torment from you and then you return to your disbelief

5:55 I took revenge on you

5:57 The day I will strike you with my greatest brutality in the world

6:01 So I will destroy you

6:03 God revealed them and they returned

6:06 He brutalized them with the greatest brutality in this world

6:10 He killed them with the sword on the day of Badr
